Bug #99 Bug synopsis: Game hangs when entering puppy cave Reported against: ADOM 0.9.9 Gamma 16 (pre-1) Operating system: Windows NT Submitted on: 2000-01-15, 22:30:20 Submitted by: David Hall Bug state: closed, fixed Fixed in: ADOM 0.9.9 Gamma 16 (pre-2) Fixed on: 2000-01-17, 00:42:59 Duplicates: 97, 98, 101, 102, 103, 106, 109, 110 Bug description: The problem occurs whenever trying to enter the puppy cave. As soon as the ">" key is pressed, the game hangs - no further output is generated, and no key presses are accepted. NT task manager shows the process still running, but I've left it for ages with no result. g14 and g15 are both working fine on the same system setup. The fault seems to not be class specific - have tried with a couple of classes, to make sure. No dumps or error messages were generated. Bug evaluation: Actually the new code for fixing strane secret door positions had a bug. I have no idea why it never showed up in the few test games I played for prelease 1. << Previous bugNext bug >> This bug has been closed. It is no longer possible to add any more comments. If you feel that the bug still exists in a more recent version, submit a new bug report. Thomas Biskup recommends: Player's Handbook: Core Rulebook I (Dungeons & Dragons, Third Edition) "The player's handbook offers a lot of bang for the buck - character creation in D&D V3.5 has been improved by leaps and bounds and there is so much flexibility in the system that I personally no longer feel any real restrictions due to classes or levels. My favourites include: pick as many classes as you want, sorcerors, critical hits, the new familiar rules, feats and more. There also is some stuff that IMHO got worse from V3 to V3.5 but it's easy to ignore (e.g. weapon sizes). Definitely recommended (especially so since the ADOM RPG in the next version will also be grounded on the D20 rules)!" It doesn't cost you any surcharge, but provides me with ADOM-related income. Thanks! A complete list of my reading recommendations is available here.
