…and since I saw someone posting a comment to that effect… I recently got my nice shiny iPhone (finally, yeah!) and the prospect of “iADOM” is so incredibly tempting… I might have to revise my statement about never again working on ADOM. Oh dear…
P.S.: And yes, besides learing Objective-C I’m spending all - and I mean *all* - my time on my PhD. The end is near, my friends - just need to keep alive till then

I’ve played ADOM on and off for 13 years now and I guess it will keep my roguelike needs fulfilled until Jade is playable.

A Rougelike on iphone/touch would be great!. Really i’d be happy with any updates. I’m really looking forward to JADE though.

ADOM would be so fantastic on the iphone…
Right now I am playing Rogue Touch, which is the best roguelike in the appstore right now. I really recommend you try that and see how they implemented the interface. I would dare say that I actually prefer playing the rogue quest way to how normal rogue plays with a keyboard…
If you were able to combine ADOM with that kind of an interface on the appstore, you would not only make many people happy, but you could also actually make some money on ADOM
I for one would be happy to pay for a good version…

Brilliant! I’ve been searching on the app store regularly to look for rogue-likes, especially ADOM, but have been stuck with Rogue. I hope you follow through with this, and if it costs I am certain I would break my free-apps-only rule.
