View Full Version : Alt+Enter skips text as if it were Enter

Pressing Alt+Enter in a middle of a conversation with the wizened old man behaves as Enter.
If you are talking to the wizened old man, and you press Alt+Enter, it will behave like pressing Enter and end the conversation.
This is quite annoying in the current game state: you find the wizened old man, chat with him, and say: "OK, I'm going to windowed mode to open Notepad and take a note of the name and direction of the dungeons". So you press Alt+Enter and... you can no longer see the dungeons because all the conversation has been skipped.

I think this information should probably recorded in the hopefully soon introduced quest log.

It should be recorded in the quest log
*and*
You should be able to chat with the old man more than once and get the information repeated
*and*
You should be able to view messages you've skipped with Enter in the message history, which is also needed.
Really I think the last one is highest priority, since it makes it easier to debug other issues.

At least ADOM II 0.2.4 will (re)introduce the message buffer history so messages won't be lost. The last 1000 of them also are persisted to the game state, BTW. Would someone like an in game editor BTW?

An editor to take notes inside the game? I think it would be a very cool feature, although not top priority.

Fixed for ADOM II 0.2.4. Please send your real name to creator(at)ancientdomainsofmystery.com for it to be included in the credits. (If you were already asked to do so you can ignore this message. Please include a reference to the bug or RFE you are credited for.)
