Happy birthday Laukku!! 18 years old now huh? Same as me. It's one of the best years! :-P Going to a bar tonight?
Yea, it can be quite odd and even bad taste at first. I presume it was beer? I remember my first time drinking beer... It tasted horrible. Long drinks are ok to get used to drinking alcohol, they taste mild and quite soda-like.
Being a tee-totaler is fine too.. actually I didn't drink any alcohol for many months just a while ago, and it felt quite good. I appreciate tee-totalers (that word sucks, I prefer "absolutist" as we use it in Finland).
> Texas thinks the same way; they are writing Thomas
> Jefferson out of their history books.
He tried to convince people to kill each other?
If he did, good riddance.
Er, woops, I don't think I'd taken your entire post into consideration..
from what I gathered, most of the stuff he did while in office
was peaceful; Texas just doesn't like how liberal he is, so the
conservatives voted to erase any mention of him from the
history teaching curriculum.
Sorry for the confusion =x
I agree with nathrakh, don't say that you don't like the taste of alcohol just because you didn't like a drink. Alcoholic drinks come in many tastes, so it's improbable that you will like or hate them all.
Beer is in fact difficult to get used to, I think no one likes it at first. I actually didn't like it until I was twenty-something even when I liked other alcoholic beverages, much stronger than beer. I started liking it when I spent some days with a group of germans that always drank beer, after a couple of days drinking it it started tasting better.
If you want something that you are likely to like from the get go, try a mild White Russian, or some Baileys, or a mild Mojito, or Malibu+pineapple juice, or Liquor 43+cacaolat. Those have a quite sweet taste and in most of them the taste of alcohol is not very obvious (in the case of the last one it almost doesn't taste alcoholic at all).
If one is drinking alcohol that doesn't taste
like alcohol, then why is one drinking alcohol?
he he so many drunks at the easter day ))) I also drank a good 2,5 litres today and i wish everybody nice and painless resurrection!
who knows what happened in New York yesterday? They say (on TV) that it was some shooting on time square. And that 50 people were arrested.
It wasn't me.
No, honestly.
Tomorrow I'm going to a demonstration against the demolition of the fountain in the center of Ekaterinburg. On this place the government wants to build a church. Archbishop Vincent threatens to send an ancestral curse on the demonstrators. I do not know whether to laugh or cry from such idiocy.
Your government wants to build a church?
Odd, I was always taught that Russia's
government wasn't friendly toward religion.
The Christian church is now used for the maintenance of monarchical views. Generations terrified by the Soviet regime is rapidly disappearing. Therefore, the Government gets less and less support and trying different ways to turn people into zombies.
I meet more and more orthodox christian fanatics. At every corner they recruit into their organization.
The terrorists will scream "Jesus" not "Allah" soon. :D
As for the notion of governments building churches, I don't like it.
As for religious fanatics, I don't judge religions by their fanatics.
We have nice Christians here in Kentucky, and nice Islamic believers
as well. Oddly, Islamic people actually comprise the majority of our
doctors here in my part of eastern KY. I don't know why, but maybe
it's because this is a less wealthy region of America, and so most
American doctors prefer to chase the big money in other parts of the
country.
At any rate, it's fine by me, as Muslims seem to be exceptionally
good doctors, and a surprisingly good fit for our area. I think the
majority of them come from less-than-wealthy backgrounds in their
former countries, and so show a high level of understanding toward
our poor. Also, they often say things to their patients that most
American doctors wouldn't (these days). Like when I lawnmowered
myself, after the doc assessed me, medicated me, and made
arrangement for me to be flown to a larger hospitol, he told me:
'God gives our bodies the ability to heal, you will be fine'. It was
really nice to have a doc that was not only competant, but also
humble.
If more towns and cities had doctors like we do, there wouldn't be
the same kind of rash judgements about Muslims in general. It's
really only the nuts who are the nuts.
I'll agree with gut on this one. The notion that muslims = terrorists is at best idiotic and flawed. Just because there are muslims who go crash planes into buildings doesn't mean all muslims flying. Take, for example, Ireland during the however many billion years the troubles were around. There were christians who killed people, but not all christians kill people.
What I'm trying to say is, all terrorists are human. Not all humans are terrorists. Judge the individual not the religion.
Well, I guess not all terrorists are human. The RNG terrorizes me all the time, and it's definitely not human :p
moslims are sooo muslim
