"t"arget sometimes doesn't select a hostile monster

Standing directly next to a hostile large rat, the game doesn't automatically select it when I hit the "t"arget key. There are no other monsters in the vicinity.

This happened to me several times on different locations (anyone else noticed this?)... but now I have a save game where this is happening and I can start debugging it.

ADOM tried to select my previous target (a large bat which I didn't kill) but it wasn't in the LOS of the PC anymore. Therefore ADOM correctly selected the nearest monster, but it didn't use its coordinates.
