The Burning Hands spell's +x damage modifier remains at 0, no matter how experienced the pc is at this spell.

This happens with ball spells as well, as someone has reported in the forums and I later verified myself.

I've found the cause. It is only a display problem, the modifier is correctly used otherwise.

fairly sure this isn't just a display issue. Might want to double check.

I'm sure it is/was only a display issue. At least it worked fine with my test character after I fixed the display code.

@Carter: do you have a saved game / situation where you think the modifier is handled wrong?

sorry I don't keep save games, i'll see if it is an issue with my next wizard.
