Wrong action using numpad (4, 6) in menu

I pressed 'A' to open my skills and then pressed '4' on the numpad to try to quick-set a skill. However, it seems like the left/right arrows switch the tab in the menu system? Because of how the numpad works, if I press '4', first the menu switches to the left tab, and then '4' is triggered, causing me to be in the quick-set mode for spells instead of skills. Similarly, if I am on the spells tab and press '6', it will bring me to the quick-set menu on skills. Turning numlock off simply gets me the left/right arrow functionality, not 4/6 functionality. Pressing the '4' NOT on the numpad works as intended.

I'm playing in ASCII mode on Windows.

Still run into this in 2.3.7. 'A', '4', 'd' will switch to Class Powers screen instead of assigning skill 'd' to '4'.
