weird AI between waldenbrook and companion

I had a companion kill one of the ordinary dwarves of dwarftown and suddenly muscular dwarves were everywhere. I thought that was the playthrough over but whilst the muscular dwarves were hostile to me, when Waldenbrook appeared he seemed only interested in targetting my greater elemental which he 1-shotted, then walked backto his store. However all the items in his store were no longer flagged as shop items, so I could freely pick them up and leave. He seemed to be glitching out walking in and out of the doorway to his shop repeatedly, as well.

*edit Also seemed it doomed me getting the shopkeeper angry at someone else.

You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed (Little Prince).
But dooming, closing the shop, leaving items and strange mad behavior seem harsh indeed...

Shopkeepers becoming non-hostile once they kill one of your companions seems to be a general issue with their AI, it happens as long as you didn't attack the shopkeeper directly.

Summoning and the associated intrinsic and alignment costs seems fine, given that shopkeepers are smart enough to know it's your fault ("Ye want to play games? So be it!").
