Turn off by default until player won the game once or progressed until certain point in current game.

No ghosts for newbies until DL:12!

If you require the player to have completed the game, the overwhelming majority of players won't see them ever. This forum is not representative of the player base in that respect.

Please implement this! They should be on by default, but able to be turned off.

Yeah, and trying to bring Cute Dog up to safety from Puppy Cave now seems to start a Monster Jihad against me, waves and waves of monsters arrive sometimes, then after luckily escaping to an upper level I'm greeted by my bloodthirsty Player's Ghost.

The suggestion to "make ghosts friendly if they share race/class/alignment" was moved to a different RFE: issue 3354.

Implemented for R51.
