Issues when running the game on a dual monitor desktop
I have a Linux box with the desktop spread across two monitors.
First attempt to run ADOM II 0.2.8 on such a setup resulted in the following:
- start screen loaded without problems
- I went through the process of character creation
- after the skills screen and pressing 'z', no window is opened, and the java process just sits there doing nothing.
I believe this is a problem with immersive mode being the default.
After switching off one monitor, the game started normally, in immersive mode. I switched to windowed mode afterwards and turned on the monitor. Trying to switch to immersive mode after that gave the message that it is not supported by my HW.
After saving and restarting the game, it started in windowed mode, however all the menus where disabled. Trying to switch to immersive mode still gave the message that it is not supported by my HW. After exiting using a key shortcut and restarting again, the saved character was gone, and trying to create a new one once again didn't open a map view after finishing the skills screen.
I suggest rather defaulting to the windowed layout, having to switch to immersive mode on start will not kill anybody IMHO.
