In Linux text mode, walls are blank.

In Linux (Ubuntu 12.04, 64 bit) text mode (with any font from /usr/share/consolefonts and setfont, it seems), any
wall is blank, or mountain with that tile. Strangely enough, the '#' character in manual headers is fine.

I'm unable to reproduce this. I've tried different fonts (e.g. Lat2-Terminus16) and ADOM always shows up correct. Which font did you use?

Maybe it's not a font but a color problem, can you post the value of your TERM variable?

Yes, most likely a color problem, I've seen this before. The problem is that the dark grey that is used for the walls and mountains are actually "bright black" when it comes to the ansi colours. Some terminals don't understand what a "bright black" should look like.

It shouldn't happen with a default Ubuntu 12.04.
