Room messages displaying wrongly at base of stairs

Special room messages are being displayed after the first turn within the room is taken rather than actually on entry.
Case in point; descended a staircase from R2:1 to R2:2 to be faced with a "female orc scorcher" next to the stairs in a rich with life room. No message was displayed and no move made.
After attacking the orc scorcher, and her attacking me back in return, THEN "This room seems to vibrate with life..." showed up.

This seems to be a bug with downstairs in general. It's possible to go and down stairs repeatedly without a turn being added to turn count.

Yes, the messages should definitely be populated upon entry and not after the first turn. There are some somewhat crazy scenarios also possible:

Enter level, see cat next to you on your left side. Walk right, only to kill the cat and then get the message about something funny in the perception of this room.
Enter level, start eating food, and while eating get blinded by a spa of hot mud. Eating is not interrupted. :)

That's actually a different bug (I just fixed).
