Game won't start from Windows 8 search screen
As in title -- go to Windows 8 start screen, type adom, click adom.exe in the search results. The adom.exe process shows up in "Background Processes" in Task Manager but nothing else happens.

Where did you install ADOM? My Windows 8 installation can't find the adom.exe at all after copying the ADOM folder to "c:\Programs (x86)".

Can you start ADOM directly from the installation folder (this works fine for me)?

That's a good point actually -- I put it in %userprofile%\Documents\ADOM for easier access.

If I open the directory in the normal folder view then I can start the game no problem, the issue is just directly from the search results.

It seems that if ADOM is started from the search results, the game directory isn't detected correctly and the game therefore can't load some files.
