The default UI causes a bit of eye-strain for me because I'm constantly having to bounce my vision between three places (messages, map, stats). I much prefer the all-at-top version, but that still suffers from the problem of truncating crucial messages. Would be nice if there was a UI that had the message buffer of the default layout where you can see everything, but also kept it in a similar location to the stats.
