The activation message for this staff seems to suggest that it either makes you better at hurting monsters or gives you benefits for hurting monsters. But, when zapped/wielded, it doesn't seem to increase damage, increase crit rate, cause special status effects, increase the chance to cause bleeding, or provide any bonuses on-hit or on-kill. Is this item working as intended?
