Add more variation to "Further life" section in the victory message
Currently the victory message gives a few details about the further life of the character, but the messages don't have that much variation for gate closers. Having more of these messages, dependent on race, class and alignment, would make the ending (at least to me) more rewarding and encourage people to try out combinations they haven't played before. Becoming a ruler would still be possible, maybe even more likely for certain classes (paladins, elementalists etc.), but other options might be selected too. Here are some examples/possibilities:
Racial considerations:
orc/dark elf/troll: it doesn't seem consistent the chaotic creatures would be obviously happy about the PC closing the chaos gate. Particularly if the character has become lawful, it doesn't make sense he/she would be made a ruler at all. And I reckon chaos would still exist in the hearts of dark elves despite the gate being closed, otherwise they'd be like other elves.
Lawful races: if the PC closes the gate and is neutral or, in particular, chaotic, the people would be happy but remain somewhat suspicious so the PC wouldn't become a ruler unless the charisma attribute is particularly high.
Classes:
Necromancer: became the king/queen of the undead domain (master necromancer?), commanding his/her army of Emperor Liches with fearsome efficiency.
Assassin: became the assassin prince[ss] ruling over all who try to change the world with poisoned daggers, and finally died of old age after avoiding several assassination attempts at his court
Priest: became an oracle of his religion
Wizard: became an archmage and a respected scholar. Maybe opened a mage school or something.
Farmer: (I know this is a fantasy game, but saying a farmer could become a king stretches my imagination a bit too much)
Bard: the future should have something about the musical skills, performing all over Ancardia etc. The message could also be dependent on the PC charisma/appearance attribute.
Merchant: sets up a business empire?
Monk: retired in a monastery or a cave rather than became a ruler
Druid: lived in harmony in the Ancardian woods
