Character kills dwarven child without getting a prompt from a game (child generated neutral?). Everyone else in dwarftown remains peaceful. One time it happened soon after getting training from gladiator, so could be related to backstabbing skill.

Character wasn't trying to shoot anyone, also if dwarven child was friendly to begin with, wouldn't it get entire town hostile?

Sometimes swapping places will cause stuff to turn hostile and thus you’ll kill them without prompting, could this be it? Very easy if you have auto_swap_neutral = true.

Most of the town doesn't care about a bit of light murdering, it's only if you go on a spree they'll act. Waldy however is very picky about such behaviour.

Tried to trigger this by continuously swapping places and this is what happened:

You change position. The dwarven child doesn't seem to like being pushed
around.
You hit the dwarven child and transform him into a mangled heap! An alarm gong
is rung!
Not sure if there was "doesn't seem to like being pushed around." message previously but you are probably right. This is "normal" behavior although very confusing.
