Adom Sage had the option to shorten the descriptions of named monsters, to show only the name of the monster, not the type. It drastically reduced the message spam in certain areas.

It was disabled for wyrms who are always named, but any special NPCs or monsters named by the player would be shortened. In my opinion it could well be enabled for wyrms as well.

For example: "Griff Bloodax, the undead chaos dwarven berserker misses you." would be replaced with "Griff Bloodax misses you."

Maybe as a config variable?
