[RFE] add new dungeon features and/or improve currently existing ones.

So what I would to suggest here is to put new, random dungeon features/encounters. Possibilities are almost limitless, here are few examples:

- mystical garden guarded by few fairly powerful peaceful mist elves druids. Contains couple of 2x2 herb patches. Druids go hostile when PC picks up/destroys herbs
- travelling merchants with escort - they do not have shops, rather they wander around dungeon and they have couple of random items for sale (and sale only, avaible through "c"hatting with them). Drops treasures when killed.
- two hostile groups (like orcs and dwarves) hunting each other in dungeon
- ...
- ...
- ...

Currently existing features could use a little improvement too. Lets take vaults for example. Those are always medium sized rooms (with few different shapes) filled with monsters. Make them more diverse instead of always the same rooms with just different shape. Orc fortress with unique orc guarding treasure room. Wolves den guarding few random items and corpses of several dead adventurers. Other features could use little improvements as well. Forges doesn't always have to be abandoned. They can have dwarves offering services of repairing and improving items for gold. Some rooms with altars can be turned into temples with priest.

Those are just examples. I'm sure that in case TB would like it, community can provide plenty of great ideas.

As far as one feature that absolutely -should- be in, is abandoned shops. For now those only serve as mimic tension rooms - but that makes it an one-off surprise. You're going to die to it once and then never think of it again. Imho, if there was a chance of actual abandoned stores existing and holding loot, people would have another incentive to take risks.

I think mimics having a high item drop rate (especially higher lvl mimics) would fix the abandoned shop room.

I don't really care about the loot, oddly enough. Just for the game's capability of surprising me with things I have seen before. Ressurection campaign gives us a lot of opportunities for it.

I like all the above ideas and I have plenty of my own, some already posted as RFEs.
There was plenty of new content promised before and I'm hoping a time will come when it all gets evaluated and added or rejected.
That way we'll at least know what suggestions may find fertile ground and which are too-far fetched.

Definitely. And keep them coming. Now Steam, then ADOM RPG and then lots of new content!

These UI topics are just eating up tons of time. But we need them for Steam.

Traveling merchants:

What I found most exciting in Helherron - apart from robbing treasuries and shops:

1. I could meet a traveling merchant. He/she usually had high level, very experienced guards hard to kill
2. After checking out the merchandize - was he carrying an artifact? - I could decide if the merchant is worth attacking or not.
3. I was making a profession of traveling on roads and hunting for merchants carrying treasure.

It was exciting side-activity when resting after clearing out or fleeing dungeons, because I could hoard stuff and killing a merchant was fulfilling as I took & sold the stuff.
