Wearing cursed thick gauntlets with no scroll of uncursing, I needed a way to uncurse the gauntlets. I dipped them in a stack of holy water and got:

"The potion of holy water glows in a sick green light for some seconds. You dip the cursed thick gauntlets into the blessed potion of poison. Nothing happens."

I didn't take the gloves *off* during this period because they were cursed, so they couldn't have been taken off. I would have expected them to protect me from the poison hands corruption as I dipped them in holy water.
Given that you can dip cursed gloves at all(which I don't think should change), I feel like this should have worked.
