Make traps more fun
Traps can lead to insta-death. This is not much fun. Instead they should be less insta-death and more punishing in other ways (stunning, confusion, equipment damage), the latter three depending on the level of foolishness/recklessness of the player (e.g. if the player simply kicks in a door while the PC has but 2 or or 3 hitpoints, he should be punished a lot more than when the PC was at full health).
