It says the file does not exist?
Anyone have a backup of the old pics from this thread? Most of them don't show up any more.
Ooh, piety scumming is a pretty interesting approach! Means you achieved this in record time, I think - 5-6k turns is super short. And you spent about 1 in 4 turns praying :)
Sad, but understandable. This was a tremendous resource back in the day, and we used it for a lot of fun (including spectating during tournament games, which was awesome). Thank you for all your work...
Painful!
Some similar experience for me (both before I'd ever won the game):
- Got to level 50, had all items for Ultra ending, went to check another window and clicked 'x' in the corner of my...
With the fulfillment of all backer rewards, certificates showing snippets of ADOM source code are now being sent around the world. Here's certificate #2.
Clearly there is a quest here to collate...
I pop in every time there's a spam report :)
*waves* Hi everyone. Jupiter Hell will be cool, please back it if it looks like your thing :) We also hope it can help make turn based roguelikes more...
Damn, I need to log in more often :-/
When posting questions people should be explicit about not wanting certain spoilers. This is what I do when using forums for games I'm not familiar with (not that it ever helps - people are just...
Welcome back, vogonpoet!
On top of the many changes listed, one little tweak is that Khelevaster is no longer permanently invisible when he's in Terinyo. Turns out that was a bug and none of us...
*waves hand* What title? All is well here... ;)
The game itself needs to spoil people more. Some elements are indeed needlessly obscure. Talking to the dwarven elder about the "portal" is a prime example.
THREAD LOCKED.
Warnings sent to some involved. I won't hesitate to ban for repeat offences.
This forum is for respectable discussion. I should not have to take this sort of action amongst...
Hello again, old timer :)
TH is still the best. Keep the faith!
For the upcoming 100th episode of Roguelike Radio we're going to air a compilation of pain, misery and futility, via a selection of recordings of YASDs. This involves players and devs submitting a...
The International Roguelike Developers Conference happens every year and gives a chance for roguelike developers and fans from around the world to meet and discuss roguelike topics, often with a...
You should paly the 7DRL Weeping Angels: http://ruinrl.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/weeping-angels.html
It is indeed quite frightening to play :)
Stealth B is my favourite :D Not chancy at all if you play it right! It's enjoyably tough on Hard in AE.
I think he has a good point that the tiled mode needs more polish if it's to be considered good enough for the likes of Steam. Most new players will go straight for the tiles. At the moment most of...
I think this may make DH2 much worse, but isn't necessarily bad for the rest of the game. Perhaps DH2 needs to be scaled back to DL 30-35. Would prevent easy SoFS abuse there too.
I had 2 x fire beam and an ion blast mark 2 once. It was epic. The crew die and the systems are shut down so quickly with lots of fire. Against the flagship though I ended up using an anti-ship drone...
This is one of the issues I really like in Hard mode - the gamble between spending scrap on upgrades now vs saving for a shop is much harder. On Normal you normally get plenty of scrap to upgrade and...
If you have the clone bay then Zoltans now make for great boarders - they explode when killed. Suicide bombers ahoy! It does make Zoltan boarders on your own ship newly frightening though.

Hacking is crazy good :)
They're turning the different quests and things that trigger the unlocks into achievements, so even if you use the new system there will still be the achievements to hunt down. Which is much better...
