I seem to remember it sickens, stuns and confuses, though often it's not hard to resist these.

Just found this out from samim: Thin and nimble corruption increases food consumption by +1 (so double base). Kinda funny, since this is normally considered the corruption with no side effects...

It's to do with the auto-search thing for thieves, and it also happens if you're stunned. Hmm, I wonder if it would happen for normal chars wearing rings of searching...

There are, to my knowledge, no platform variations in ADOM. Every version is built from the same C code.

It must have been an ancient karmic dragon then. Would have been a multicolored D, as opposed to a multicolored W. The wyrms are a bit better because they can confuse enemies and cast magic...

As far as I can tell, other than with spellbooks, items are sorted purely by which was picked up first.

However, there are some oddities. Dropping an item and picking it back up will restore that...

I remember seeing someone on the server take down a lot of eternal guardians this way. Very very easy to lure them on the altar and sac them, and it gives a surprisingly big amount of xp.

Well, you got lucky - for all practical purposes picking a bush will always deplete it if you don't have herbalism.

Forget dark sages - I'd use it against the AKW. Imagine 10 of his corpses...

It seems to be impossible to get the final charge out of a wand whilst doomed (perhaps needs more testing).

As far as I'm aware nothing can follow you to D49, from either direction.
