Or, one additional option could be that instead of being completely hidden in the "a" menu, currently unusable skills are merely greyed out, and thus the skills retain their usual hotkeys.
Yes, it always adds new skills to the bottom - or is supposed to. In older versions, this applied to all skill screens, and, more importantly, to how they are added during character creation as well....
One possible solution could be to make him panic (by kicking him enough or finding and casting Scare Monster / Holy Awe) and then offer peace. Or does that not work on uniques either?

I can't get :replace to work. I'm trying to change the "[monster] hits you for [X] damage" message to either "[monster] hits you" or "[monster] hits you ([X] dmg)".
Looking at blunk's screenshots, it appears that it's actually 9 that toggles multi-select.
That's TB's method to enforce the Iron Man challenge, isn't it? What's the conditions for activating it?

It think the new pick/drop system, once you get used to the hotkeys, is really powerful and a massive improvement over pre- 2.3.0...

IIRC I read an explanation from the people who authored this release that they have to charge some kind of amount because some Steam features (achievements, cloud saves) are not available for free...
