    Default Beastfighter help

By the time my last DE beastfighter was shift-Q'd on D:49 because he was stuck, I had learned several things.
    1. Beastfighter with movement bonus and high beastfighter speed outruns Cat Lord.
    2. BoW are the best non-TotRR artifact in the game.
    3. ACW is easier than I thought.
    4. Find Weakness owns.
    5. Carry more than one pair of thick gauntlets.

So, I started a new one and did SMC to HMV. Several tension rooms and lesser vaults gets me to level 11. Go to CoC. Big room has morgia/stoma and some others. Dwarf quest is white worm- there was one on the level above.

Learn to read- identify my inventory and I find a AoLS.
I don't know if I should do an ultra with a beastfighter because I want to actually use the TotRR. Any advice would be appreciated.

What with the 6 (!) scrolls of chaos resistance, the Khelly reward is attractive even if you aren't going to do an ultra ending -- although a little less so for a beastfighter since some of it is books.

As for ultras, I say don't do it if you doubt it'll be fun for you.

I would save Khelly for sure--AoLS are fairly useless otherwise IMHO. You don't need to make a choice about an ultra any time soon, except that it does mean that you will have to delay your exceptional beastfighter crowning gift.
Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

Trident is overvalued just cause Andy wrote it is ultimate weapon in his [censored] book. More than half artifacts you encounter are on par. And that is without fact how late trident can be obtained.
So far rolled 15 casters with RoDS and shamelessly killed them within 200 turns. For eternium glory!
    (after 15 I stopped counting...)

I'd say it's ok to call ToTRR the ultimate artifact AFTER you acquire it - and it's not that difficult (acquiring I mean) if you're about to finish the game..

I have a ULE-beasty ending. Just pounded AD with my bare fists(doing about 100 damage on each hit ) until he got severely injured, then shot him to death with missiles. Could probably have started shooting him earlier. Good way to get extra demon slayers is to cause casino restocks and to kill (ancient) blue dragons until they become really dangerous. The most dangerous thing about him really is all the stat drains. Other than that, he's a huge wuss with or without the the TotRR. Be sure to remember tu equip it before the kill, though, so as not to become a chaos wretch

The Trident of the Red Rooster is ADOM's Infinity Plus One Sword. The most powerful weapon in the game (in term of base stats and the sheer mass of intrinsics to go along), and requires a painful streak of sidequests to obtain. In terms of actual usefulness and worth over the course of a game it loses hard to pretty much any artifact that is powerful enough to surpass most mundane items, or has properties that make them situationally useful. If your character found Whirlwind in a Surge of Power on D:2, it will be much more useful during that game than the Trident could ever hope to be.

(Soirana: What's "on par" for you when comparing a melee weapon with non-melee-weapon artifacts? The likelihood you'll use them, how much they will benefit you if you do?)
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!

Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.

(*Reads TVTropes article, escapes before being sucked into the TVTropes Vortex*)

"You hit AnDoR DrAkOn with the Sword of Plot Advancement! AnDoR shouts, "The princess is in another castle!" The world begins to warp around you..."
