PreCrown not working?
Ok, so I had (stupid acid vortex) a level 13 grey elf wizard. I found the si and a couple of herb gardens with plenty of stomafilla herbs. Collected about 30-50 of them and saced them at the dwarf town alter. I never got to extremely close for some reason. any ideas?
Oh btw the si was the only artifact.
When in darkness, you can always see the light (unless you're in ADOM)
Most successful combos for me: Grey elf wizards, trollish healers, dark elf beast-fighters, Gnomey monks, and any race barbarians.

30 to 50 may not be enough. With a hurtling maybe (their gods like foodstuffs), but for other races you need to harvest more (I'd say twice the amount for good measure).
Did you try praying anyway? I heard sometimes it doesn't tell you you're extremely close when you in fact are?

To me it sounds like you were still below the amounts needed. Precrownings are not cheap. 100 stomafillia are usually calculated, and a successful uncursing prayer is quite expensive.
If you're going to precrown using stoma, being stingy with the stuff will not be helpful.

~100 blessed stoma for first precrown. And yes N- matters as you can't get precrowned as N= (extreme alignment).
