umm, does anyone know how to remove "trapped clothes"? they're not even cursed but my character can't remove them

For a guaranteed removal, dip them in a blessed Potion of Exchange

Going to. my ancient priest try (peace to his soul) was sure to have found a spellbook of light there. Which helped things; a bit. He died starving though.

Gremlins will drop stuff in the cave, but much, much, much less than anywhere else. The best way to exploit gremlins is to get a fluff ball into the water cave. every single gremlin drowns and they drop gear like regular monsters. Also, the cave has decent DL so nice to awesome items are possible.

edit: scrolls of item destruction for example will do the trick eventually but you need to have 3 (or was it 4?) destructible items ON. and even then it picks one by random.

Scrolls of item destruction will never destroy themselves or other scrolls of item destruction, they simply reroll in this case. Could be useful. (Do NOT read a scroll of item destruction with 4+ item stacks, all of item destruction, and nothing else!)
