Wishing for damage

Assuming I'm playing a priest who is somewhere shortly beneath the banshee level and still doesn't have a high damage weapon (just a couple phase daggers and non-prefixed or suffixed eternium weapons), but found a wand of wishing. Would you:

Burn a wish or two on ball spellbooks?
Burn a wish on eternium spears, in hopes of hitting a good prefix or suffix?

there are couple choices if you want good weapon via wish.. Swords of sharpness or maces of destruction. Wishing for "eternium spears" is a waste because you'll get 2d2 random eternium spears; which are very likely without affixes.

Wishing for weapons is almost always waste.. Consider wishing for spellbooks of rain of sorrow (the most awesome dmg spell in the game; acid ball) or pairs of seven league boots (makes you walk faster than almost any other mob in the game (save for some quicklings).

edit: for spellcasters with strength of atlas or melee characters with a lot of str: Big Punch is guaranteed (unless you get something extraordinary hairy for the quest mob) one-handed high damage weapon

Acid ball spellbooks all the way. It's much, much more likely you will find a good weapon than spellbooks of Acid Ball later on, and Acid Ball is probably more powerful than any weapon you could wish for, even if you get lucky and score a spear of devastation, particularly if you have not done Darkforge yet. If you have already herbed up your stats and have 7lbs and decent armor, a wish or two on willpower might be good if you want a really doom character.

For a priest, rain of sorrow (acid ball) is a fantastic choice. Ball spells are extraordinarily rare for priests (you're lucky to find more than 1 of the four ball spells in all locations including the library), so having a killer one is really nice advantage.

7,100,000 xp, 7 mil of which did come from the
