Default The Metro Gnome's Question Dump!

Instead of making multiple threads for simple questions, I decided to just make one and keep reviving it every time I have a question.

    1. I am playing a Dwarven Barbarian (candle), got pre-crowned with the medium shield (names escapes me) Crowned by accident with Skullcrusher and fire, found an eternium 2H sword and a Long Glaive in DF. What weapon should I be using?

    2. Should I go scumming for an AoLS? Found none in DF.....
When in darkness, you can always see the light (unless you're in ADOM)

Most successful combos for me: Grey elf wizards, trollish healers, dark elf beast-fighters, Gnomey monks, and any race barbarians.

    1) Holy hell, is that a question? unless your 2H sword is magical, the glaive being worth next to little, go for skullcrusher and protector (the later been one of the best shields in the game)
    2) NO. Waste of time.

Sorry if this is a minor thread hijacking, I just didn't want to have to post a new thread for this. How do I display what monsters I've killed it says, ":k" but I don't know what the : is, I've tried shift, alt, ctrl, etc, to no avail. Please advise/assist.

The : is, quite literally, :. Colon, or shift-semicolon, then k.

I had tried that as well, but thanks for telling me. I did it incorrectly before. I just pressed shift+:, then let go and pressed k and BAM, it worked. Thanks again!

I decided to waste my time and go for the AoLS. What DL is it again?

Danger level 8 is a RoDS, amulet of life saving is 2. RoDS are significantly more common, so scumming for one of those in an appropriate place should yield a quicker result.
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!

Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.

Ok found a AoLS via wish in puppy cave. New problem arises.

I'm trying to stabilize this into some 2x2 patterns of stomma, morga, and moss. I have plenty of holy water from stair hopping, so that is not an issue. (btw I am talking about the to eggplant looking ones)
