Help! shadow wyrm on the stairs \/__\/

hi all,
i have Gray wizzy who want to make the DeepDivingChallenge
my rules are simple: close the gate, then go to I
and simply try to go as deep i can.
Only rule: i can only go >
no upstairs allowed.

when i enter in a level with tension room i try to zap a wand of Mons. detec.
now i'm on I 404 and the downstairs room is a 6*7 full of Shadow wyrms
how can i fight those (extremely experienced) monsters?
i've matched a lot of them but was one to one combat...
Darknes doesn't work, like invisibility, they ar also summoner...
so, i'm in trouble...
all suggestion will'be accepted!

The shadows they summon don't see invisible, so make sure you are that.

Then, I would just anger the wyrms, force them to move a little, wait for the stairway to clear, and then quickly teleport on the stairs and descend. Will take some patience, I'm sure. Hopefully you are immune to cold. And remember that the wyrms age you and/or (?, I forget) drain toughness in melee.

On the positive side, with all those shadows around, you won't have random dangerous mobs generated all of the time.

i've just remeber that shadow wyrm are not undead....


Now i'm on I 444, i would reach at least the I 666
but a monter are really powerfull now...
a caveman damage my eternium cap [+6+10] with only one hit to [+6+0] Argh!
i need two/four hit (+167 6d8 +85) to kill a goblin rocktrower and six-seven for a hill giant

Uh... maybe stupid question, but:

If you're a gray elf wizzy on I:444, why on earth are you fighting anything in melee? I would think you'd be better of dual wielding shields and using spells.

sadly i can't beat almost anything with spells
i need at least five or six acid ball to kill a hill giant
and 2 or 3 acid ball to kill a giant rat.
at this level only death ray seems to work well (if not resistence obviously)
Death ray cost me around 50 pp, book casting magic map around 20pp and teleport 11 pp
i've 979 pp avaiable and the max regen. rate (empowered eternium plate mail and mana battery corruption)
Now i'm running fast out of pp so i switch often from coward+protector+eternium sc.
to berserk and eternium penetrating long sword of devast.
this way i can figt low danger monster with sword while my pp regen.
then switch to Coward and cast for high danger monster...
or simply i RUN away from nastyer monster like lich king and Ghost tension room...
it seems that ghost can hit me very easly (i've been aged for hundreds years)
lucky alchemy for potion of youth (boost spped and invisibility)

but at level 404 i've found a secret weapon

i've started the dive with 37 holy water
but are running down...
there is some way to obtain some blessed water?
(i've just find 43 bottle of useless crappy water)

i'ts funny, i've never had the necessity to do it, so i've never try to do it...
like waste a wish for stomafilia or for a sheep...
but the poor screaming wife give me a big help to clean some tension room...

(if i throw some postions of boost speed on the banshee... maybe i could improve her movement?)
