    Default 1st ever win!! and a question

    Hey all - been playing on and off for about a year, been lurking the forums for a few weeks, never posted but I was excited enough after my first victory that I wanted to announce my achievement to somebody (my girlfriend was not impressed).
    Did it with a high elven archer, no ultra win or anything, probably not very impressive to most of you but damn was in an accomplishment to me, no save scumming - 1st character I ever got to the Air Temple, fist character I ever got to lv 30, and I took him all the way to the end! Even with save-scumming to learn the ropes, I only got two or three past the ToEF. But now that I have beaten the game for real, I can play with pride (sniff). Save scumming is no fun anyways, takes all the "risk excitement" out of the game.
    forum noob here - how do you post that fancy string of game data that shows all your character info? Also, I haven't left the Drakalor Chain yet, took me awhile to figure out how to ascend back up D:49 after closing the gate. I wanted to put up the stats but don't know how to do it. I actually don't even know what program to open a "memorial character file" with

    Use notepad or similar text editor to open the .cfg (config) files.

    After you leave Drakalor Chain it asks to create a memorial file (same when you die). You can also press ) in game to create it.

    Copy it and post it with "CODE" tags.

    And didnt you do the Unicorn Quest? Your ending could have been happier without corruptions.

    I did the unicorn quest, but I probably used the reward at the wrong time. I think I had 6 or 7 corruptions when I used it, but some of them were big dex drainers. I also probably made mistakes about deciding to either carry all my SoCR with me or leave them in the old barbarian's glade, because I had to make several trips up and down the CoC to retrieve scolls. I was worried about them getting destroyed in the air temple, the blue dragon caves - which, humorously enough, I only went into in hopes of getting an amulet of death ray resistance, cuz I was scared I'd need it in the Mana temple, but I never got one so I dared the pools of Darkforge instead - 1st drink gave me death ray resistance, after all that worry, then after all that worry the Chaos Archmage never death-rayed me, he just cast darkness and damage spells like the icy blast. but I did waste a lot of time going up and down, up and down, picking up loot to sell/ID it, I was a bit paranoid about how hard the Air, Earth, Mana temple and D:50 would be since I'd never done any of them. Turns out by the time I got to the Air Temple I was already on kind of a roll, but it was hard to notice in retrospect. Unicorn quest reward should probably be saved until you're almost a purple j.

    Note : IF you're playing normal, you shouoldn't even NEED the quest. The fact is that you do'nt need to sell once you've seen the casino. IDing stuff can be helped through weights. drop everything before air temple, it's not hard if you got some invi potions.
