    Default YAVP: Doomed Farmer

    I've said before that farmers are a lot better than people give them credit for, and I think this is particularly true for this particular challenge. Early herbs is a massive advantage for any PC, and well, nobody gets herbs as early as farmers. I decided to do a raven-born dwarf, since I haven't done one in ages, and wanted to take advantage of early mithril skin. 3 talent start with decent To, literate, and, I think it was 4 herb seeds (usually I try for 5 or 6 but I had been rolling for a long time and was getting bored). Raven is really helpful early on--I get wilderness encounters every 3-4 steps normally, and pretty much anything was strong enough to kill me unless I could run away. The early RCT was part of my ToEF strategy, but it meant that I'd be without healing until around level 8 when I could kill Jharod. I played most of the early game on true berserk with my scythe, and managed to clear myself a room 7 squares tall in the VD. Once my gardening got to 80 at level 8 (gardening <80 is basically useless...), I built myself a farm that hit everything except stoma (I wanted to exclude antidote, but I got some quick generations that threw off my pattern), and found an altar to get some gear identified. Killed Jharod for Healing, and with a solid 30 To, Dex, and Wi, I was able to clear UD and puppy cave.

    Went to CoC, did Thrundarr quests and Pyramid. Made a few alignment mistakes with altars and ended up getting some nice gear dusted, but I was able to replace most of it... Darkforge was mostly junk, there was a white dragon armor that got destroyed in melee pretty fast, and a couple halberds (used defense mostly), and, of course, the awesome crown of science, which I wore for the rest of the game. Killed Khelly, got screwed by the mystic, got Water Orb and RCT. Cleared Griffyard (quite dangerous since I didn't have para resist, but with ~45 PV and a slaying weapon, it wasn't too bad). Did high kings, but didn't have enough booze to charge up my wand. Tried to wander there for awhile hoping to get some more charges, but eventually had to run back to Terinyo. Incidental question, anyone know if you can get to the skeletal king without making a bridge by knocking his door long distance with a wand? I was getting up in days, so I had to be a bit careful from this point on. I think it was about 75 by the time I got the ring. Did the ToEF easily. ACW died to thrown pot of wonder + RCT.

    Dove to Casino (mostly junk), cleared Air Temple. Corruption was starting to be a problem, and it was like day 85. Figured my best bet would be do clear Mana first for experience, since I've had problems with killing earth elementals with RCT before. D:46 had a surprise for me: tension room of emperor liches. Mostly avoided that... Mana was pretty rough, I added about 7 corruptions clearing it, including poison hands. I basically had to fight every monster before the archmage came around, who I lured out and killed with blind + confusion + poison hands. Cleared Earth Temple without too much trouble, then did unicorn cleansing, stocked up on all the corruption removal I could get (3 PoCC and the HMW scroll). Dove down to D:50, dug through the sides and killed all of the balors (went from level 34 to 50) including Fisty (thrown PoCC + thrown raw mana + RCT) to seal the deal.
    Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

            Your parents are travelling adventurers. Both are competent,
     talented and doing very well.
            During your childhood one of your uncles taught you a lot of things

    The ring is on floor not on King. I've tried to get him pick it but all mine testing failed. So you still need to build bridge to get ring.
    So far rolled 15 casters with RoDS and shamelessly killed them within 200 turns. For eternium glory!

    Indeed. Certain talented PCs should be able to huge rock the door down and kill the king without a bridge, but to get the ring, you have to cross the lake... lazy fuck just won't pick it up.

    Of course, buffed up PCs with plenty of HP can always swim across the lake, but not at low levels, and its probably not a good idea whilst doomed

    At ~200HPs per turn this isn't exactly ideal.
    Gate closers: (ImmaNinja Level 44 Drakish Monk);
