    Hail airheads, are we ready?

    An Orc blinger eh? Clearly our damage output will diminish rapidly relative to our danger level over time. Ha. should be interesting.

    Here's hoping half of you contrive to suffer embarassing deaths before my turn comes up

    edit:

    Thoughts on non-chaotic flinging the bling:
    Pros:
    • We have lots of coins, and will find more - practically unlimited ammo on an ID dive
    • No monsters immune to coin attack
    • Damage output increases with PC level
    • Find Weakness works with coin throws
    • Good Shot talent line useful

    Cons:
    • Coin throw attack energy cost does not decrease as we gain in power
    • Strong thrower talent useless


    Conclusions:
    • We need to be fast for "beserk fling and back away" hit and run tactics
    • Probably worthwhile to train other missile weapons when we find them, for energy cost boost.

    Hail!

    The big question is what we have done against RNG for it to spawn us a dragon born orc with 12 toughness. I guess it's the nice set of wands.

    Remember to train pickpockets!

    Aswell as using it to the max ofc.

    Yup, I'm doing just that right now. Sorry, was away for a while due to a horrid examen coming up. Now that's over it, we can get down to business. Those wands might be very very useful indeed. And specialising in them is quite good Now to play.DONE

    64 monsters perished under her attacks.
    All in all, we've now got better armor, the same weapon, we've increased Find Weakness, Backstabbing, Appraising, First Aid and Detect Item Status. We've found a nice [+3+1] wooden shield but can't use it because we're stuck with a cursed small shield on our left hand. I've gathered quite a big heap of rocks, some arrows and some quarells and a short bow, but I'm afraid it might be cursed. Dunno where the scroll came from. I've chosed Very Quick and Good Shot as our talents. You're on I:3, the locked door separates you from a gray ooze who's probably spawned quite a lot by now, since I've been using the last 300 turns to recover HP. Haven't used any prayer so far. Down stairs are right next to you and I suggest using them rather than fighthing the oozes. For a more detailed account of what I did and found when and where read below.

    I:1 - found more ammo (coins), Got level 1, increased Detect Item Status, Find Weakness and Appraising. Thought it might be useful to know the status of some items later, or have a 'feeling' about them. Should've taken First Aid, now I think of it. Level 3, Backstabbing, First Aid. Got a short bow from a nice kobold. Not using it because we have very few arrows and I don't wanna equip a cursed bow. Appraising tells us it's mediocre. Hmmm... Descend on turn 360
    I:2 - Got a small shield and equipped it. Too bad it's cursed. Level 4: First Aid, Detect Item Status, Appraising. One charge of acid wand used against fire beetle. Got a nice new ring mail as armor, keeping old studded leather in backpack. Level 5: Find Weakness, Detect Item Status, Appraising. Descending on turn 1240, after kicking down a locked door. No trap.
    I:3 - Rat room near stairs. Level 6: Find Weakness, Backstabbing, First Aid. Imminent danger. Turns out to be a grey ooze. Got away from it and locked it behind a door. Didn't want to use a prayer to heal, so I waited to recover some HP.

    I3: Started out by regaining some hp. Descend when I became hungry (Turn 2551).

    I4:
    Ate iron ration because of hunger! (Turn 2652) Milked a rockthrower for some rocks. It gave a corpse, ate it. Got level 7, took Pick pockets x2 and Detect item status. Get some arrows from a raider. Encounter a ghul (Turn 2984). Thinking I'm screwed but I manage to defeat it. Eat a bat corpse. Descend again (Turn 3095).

    I5: Straight into a damn -1st +1Le room, now that's useful for our merchant! Eat a goblin slavemaster. Find a sling, might use it together with our rocks but not sure if it's cursed or not. Encounter a cave fisher, decide it is to nasty so I close the door where it resides. (Turn 3269) Encounter a orc scorcher that I milk a spear from, uncursed, now our main weapon along with thrown rocks. Steal a "Carpe diem" scroll (Turn 3328) Find a thick girdle which is a girdle of carrying. Equip it. Decides to regain some hp before I try to take on the cave spider (which by now I've interpreted as NOT a part of a farm since the extreme lack of slurping sounds). And yes the only way to the next level is past the spider. Get thrown rocks lvl 2 and find a potion. Near death moment (Turn 3616). Get hit down to 8 hp and stunned by a hill orc. Decided the best thing to do was zap it with an acid wand. Spend the rest of my turn regaining health. Late edit: Also got a uncursed orcish spear from the hill orc, maybe try it out to see if its nice.

    Summary:

    M:4333 I am stunned by a gargoyle with only 2 hp then i use a prayer
    M:4334 ring mail is damaged

    M:4515 ate one large ration and giant rat corpse

    M:5091 use wand of acid twice to dispatch pit vipers

    Well, I didn't die.
    Forgot to make vlg, after writing the report and posting the save I'll start the character again and make flg.
    But first, how I survived (short one, because I'm a bit tired):

    4057 - skill upgrade - backstabbing +2, detect item status +1, first aid +1, listening +1
    level up - detect item status, find weakness, first aid
    4682 - another skill upgrade - backstabbing +3, pick pockets +1
    descended.
    4752- argh, spear trap - 10hp left
    5060 - vipers! from the pit! - I remember how cash died, thank you very much. wand of acid! (3 charges total used)
    5383 - descended again
    Another zap of wand of acid acid for claw bugs, because there were four of them in narrow corridor and alternative was them killing me in melee. Guess what? there were four more around the corridor. I tried to melee them, but they reduced our brave hero Air to 4 hp so I just killed them with another wand charge.
    5676 - level up - detect item status, find weakness, first aid. Chose healthy as a talent
    then a jackalwere appeared and summoned friends. killed them all and then decided to wait until the end of my turn. I was low on hp anyway, so I may as well make Confucio's life better.

    There were no interesting items that I picked up on the way. The only interesting thing is that this guy is always low on hp and prone to all types of injuries. So be careful and have fun!
