    For Jelly: you will see a black wizard in front of you, you will switch to beserk with your awesome axe, but miss him, and he will summon 6 acid vortexes, which will all explode on you simultaneously.

    Meanwhile, my RNG paranoia is mounting - my hobbit elementalist found a book shop on the first level of the assassins guild. Wow. Of all the classes that can benefit from a book shop, I think elementalists are clear out front. Awesome. Even scarier, she found a bulky girdle in an ogre vault below the AF whilst completing Thrundarrs second quest. In all my years playing ADOM, I think this is only the second time I actually found a GoGS.

    Fortunately, I ate a giant slug in the druid cave.

    Done Darkforge, Pyramid, and Griffyard now. Finishing dwarf quests and thinking about whether to kill Khelly.
    Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

    Isn't there a chance of game crash when talking to Khelly? :-)

    Unless the code for that looks something like this:
    Code:
    if (rnd(1))
       die(horribly);
    ...it's not really death by RNG

    The crash is only triggered if you save him IIRC. It has something to do with the spellbooks.

    [edit]Water temple and Rift down. Next stop: High kings and ToEF.

    Staring in a glass ball revealed that Vogonpoets elementalist is going to die in melee.. against an unexpected opponent..

    For Jellyslayers doomed druid I foresee a very dark future.. I see a gruesome death lurking.
    You steal a scroll labelled HITME. The orc hits you.

    Well I just survived a diamond golem, a titan and a moloch in my post-gladius arena quests, but of course, I didn't melee those, I used bolt spells... still alive.

    A large flickering stairs room on D50 would particularly harsh

    I've lost a bard about 2 days ago - prayed for a pick axe, digged into the fire temple, got confused, surrounded, ACW hit to me to 1hp. So I hit 'U'se, but found that I still got that pickaxe. I don't want to pray, so I got to inventory on exactly 1hp to switch to Water Orb with ACW right next to me, because I believe he won't hit me the next turn with ~100 DV. Guess what? Right, I was bleeding.

    Back to the topic - I've long ago understood, that RNG doesn't kill. If you want, you can survive.
    I like my women like my ADOM loot - hunted as treasure and in extra quantity.

    RNG just makes you not want to survive. My orcish Barbarian today tried to do the Puppy quest. I managed to find the puppy and brought it up to PC1. I stood next to the upstairs. The cute dog stepped next to me. Into a stone block trap. Its corpse got destroyed by the crushing rocks...

    Bard. Oh yeah, he also got tons of resistances from a pool and a wish. So I was in DH (I always seem to make yet always die in the forest so I go through DH unless there is a monster I find who I can't get past) and saw a vampire. So I think, "Oh wow. A vampire. Those aren't too hard." I attack it 3 times with my brutal short sword of penetration (yes) and miss it every time. Then I think "I should run." So I walk into a hallway, and at the end of the hallway there is a hidden door. So while I search for the door, the vampire catches up to me. It brings me down to 6 str and 4 to before I can find the door. My death is "transformed into vampire". Now JellySlayer will tell me I should have had on demand teleportation before doing anything in ADOM.
    On the bright side, how will my new bard die? Orcish battle axe of devastation, candle born, phase dagger,
