We've all seen the classic bug where a mob goes into a blind rage, attacks itself, kills itself, then somehow looks more powerful. Here's a strange twist I've never seen before:

    Code:
The cave lion cringes in pain! The cave lion decides to fight to the death in
a blind rage! The cave lion glares at the cave lion in a very strange
    manner.
The cave lion was one I tamed.

Copied and pasted this in before I did anything else, but apparently it get more interesting. This seems to trigger a bug that causes a game crash every time the affected monster has a turn. I can reload the saved game, but it keeps crashing.

Crashes went away when I killed the cave lion with a thrown rock. (Crap - so much for the cat ring - the whole reason I tamed the cave lion in the first place.)
You hear the cries of the crowd: "Freebird!! Freebird!! Freebird!!"

You play some tunes on your lute.

I have killed many a pet that goes into a blind rage, several of them were cats.
I said it before, and I'll say it again. If I knew scripture like you, I'd prolly be an athiest too.. -gut

What would happen if you stunned or confused a creature that goes blind raging? Would it stop it killing itself? Or if you made it somehow hostile towards you so its no longer your pet -> no crash?

What I thought was odd was "The cave lion glares at the cave lion in a very strange manner". Normally, that "glares at" message is triggered when one monster is damaged by and becomes hostile to another, most often by one monster triggering a trap

Hellu there! As far as i can remember. hanging around with companions caused my games to crash more than often, once the pet got past a certain level..am i just particularly unlucky or is there actually something about this?
