Default Level 50 GE wizard, rng'd

    Well...

Do you remember the uber spoilt wizzie, level 46, from the oher day? Rng'd, helped by my total lack of care.

This char had found 3 rings of djinn summoning, 2 wands of wishing (1x4, 1x5 charges)
Possessed at the moment of his death so many powerful items that he could not die, acid ball and other big balls, expert magicmissiler... 650HP, 900PP, regenerating, blah blah.

Killed by rng, greediness and a spider.

You see, there was this ring he wanted to pickup in the shop (one more RoDS).
Picked it up, but then got stuck in damn web.
Slightly annoyed, I pressed a key towards freedom (no danger, the shoppy was guarding the door - lich king waiting patiently for his turn --> instadeath!

Crushed by tons of luggage on level 5 of an unreal cave system...
I had casted strength of atlas a few times and forgot about it... and my keypresses ignored he warning.

Lesson learnt, now for the next one!

Yeah, sad pointless death, and kinda unlucky maybe, but I am having difficulty ascribing this death to the rng. If you are an all powerful mage, but for some reason you are relying on strength of atlas to carry stuff, then you damn well watch out for this sort of thing.

    RNG didn't kill you.
I said it before, and I'll say it again. If I knew scripture like you, I'd prolly be an athiest too.. -gut

What were you carrying? Were you using thrown huge rocks as missiles? Collecting statues? Moloch armors? Luggage death at level 50 is unfortunate... but it's hard to blame on the RNG. SoA gives many warnings before it fails, and you were carrying way too much gear regardless.

I don't generally feel it's reasonable to attribute any death with more than 2000 turns to the RNG, myself (I might be willing to concede up to about 5000 for a really wussy PC). Most of the time there's something that the player could have done to avoid such a thing.
Any time a player finds Executor and fails to use it, the RNG kills a cute dog.

Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

You brought this on yourself, indeed
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!

Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.

I stand by my word: rng'd. I had never met such a stream of luck this early in game, that made me unaware

I'm sure it was one more cunning rng plot to get rid of one more char - although I will admitt the plot was sEveRLy TwiStED.

I had a crushed death similar to yours.
Just goes to show you that you should never be cocky in ADOM and that there will ALWAYS be a way to die no matter how great you think you are.

you should have stacked SoA with girdle of greed+casino gold,
then st: scummed with a ring of weakness until st:99. Then you
would have at least lived long enough to get surrounded in bugwil
or water breathed to death in water cave.
I use polemarms when laying adom.
