YAS speed D
Going for under 10k turns and was looking pretty good until Archmage. Had gotten 8 mil xp from the wyrm which got the PC to ~45 or so. Character was buff as hell (for a speed run) except had no way to kill the mage. Humanoid slayers but no posion- that's right, no poison or ingredients for recipe in gift shop. In fact there must have been no poison in the whole game, I would have kept it of course, or been royally pissed if it was destroyed (just knew Acid Ball would not come). So frustrated as hell I put on the SoRS and hope to eventually get the poison hands corruption. Joy and happy times, so I did. Except the poison didn't do him in! Two hits with the slayers and no dead mage. Of course many many turns had already been spent cleaning ears hoping the /&%/! would eventually die. Enter even more turns of cleaning ears and trying acid bolt. Not even a single hit.
Here comes the Stupid part: Much earlier I had gotten the acid spit corruption. Stupid sod that I am I didn't even think of that until nearly all my prayers were spent and the turn counter had reached well over 10k. ~100 turns later the fiend is a pile of goo on the floor. The PC eventually died on d:50, unable to heal himself.
