    Flash golem although nearly got me.
    So far rolled 15 casters with RoDS and shamelessly killed them within 200 turns. For eternium glory!

    Sorry for the delay, Conundrum - very hung over today

    I explore I8 in relative peace until I go through a dark room followed by a room full of eyes of destruction. Thank Correllius for that dark room... Exp is good from them and I get to level 7 quickly - 2xAlertness, Athletics, Dodge. Quickly get to starving though and have to eat the elven bread. Fecking light corruption! During the fight our short bow got destroyed, but we have a backup. Last eye got me level 8 - Athletics, 3 x Food Pres (we need to get this to 90!)

    Found some heavy boots [-1, +1] next to the stairs, and descended on turn 3547. Found a hill orc and ate his corpse (hopefully it'll train To). Found a bundle of 10 arrows of undead slaying too, and a couple of food items.

    A giant spider damaged our chain mail Didn't drop a corpse either. I descend on turn 3904 and wait around in the room for the poison to wear off. I sense a certain tension and hear a distant wind - how foreboding! Poison doesn't wear off, and I accidentally go over 1 turn applying first aid in response to another pulse of it.

    T1 - High Elf Farmer oh joy. Dropping all our armor to go true
    zerk. Awww we have a little doggie as a pet.
    T30 - Switching to a flail little better then our old scythe
    T210 - Ouch fire trap takes me down to 1, no healing this is going
    to suck recovering.
    T818 - Let my doggie kill a few things and level up, healed up to
    13.
    T923 - Froggie dead, onto I2.
    T1000 - Survived the turn. I haven't tried any of the doors and the d is our doggie.

    That's quite all right, wouldn't have been able to play until now anyway ^^

    4065 - murky potion
    4088 - scroll labeled "EDEVESH HANAGASH"
    4103 - open door onto mixed tension room, including a fire vortex, hill giant and tarantula. RUN.
    4140 - Manage to close a door on the entire thing. We were 1 speed faster than the vortex, phew.
    4197 - Bows level 4
    4209 - Find two shields - wooden shield [+3, +1] and medium shield (-1) [+5, +1]. Equip medium shield.
    4240 - Ate our cave lizard corpse, but found a large ration and a melon. Also, poison finally wore off.
    4284 - Descend.
    w5 until 4504 for hp.
    4557 - Find an iron ration. Hungry and burdened now so I eat the large ration.
    4624 - Woah, threat room of master swordsmen. I didn't get a "You feel threatened" message
    4826 - Shields level 2. Slowly killing the swordsmen, gonna have to bail soon because we don't have enough arrows.
    4887 - Starving, eat iron ration.
    4930 - Retrieve as much of our ammo as I can and bail. 11 hp.
    4950 - Sitting on downstairs briefly
    5000 - Descend, 18hp. Save.

    Summary:
    Food situation remains the same.
    Skilled up bows and shields once.
    Still no prayers used.
    Finally got a shield! And a spare.
    Down to just 4 of our ordinary arrows.
    A few scrolls. I wish we had some wands.
    Dunno anything about this level!

    Survived.

    -Killed acid vortex in hallway.
    -Killed bulette, stone statue and ghost. Aged a couple years.
    -Dropped our sling and rocks in favour of bows.
    -Descend. Greater daemon appears! Fortunately, level has an impassable river. I use river rule to escape.
    -I:22 looks tricky. There is a tension room, and 5 closed doors with no other paths. I decide to wait. Use holy symbol for a few hundred turns. Get low on food and drink potions. One is toughness potential which brings us up to satiated, so no food problems for awhile.
    -Save and done.

    I can't give any more detail on the level layout. I haven't tried any of the doors. There is definitely a tension room. I also got the corruption trap message a couple times.

    Only descended once, so as to extend the time that i may live.
    milked a few grt's for about 30 rocks. Pumped alertness,
    ventriloquism, first aid and pickpockets. nothing special about
    the current level. the door to the left is locked. We seem to
    heal VERY slowly. racoon killed an orc scorcher before spear
    was installed.
