    Sense certain tension. Hear slurping sounds.
    Tension was lesser undead.
    8738 - DESCEND!
    Someone is basking in the purple glow of a corruption trap.
    Eat a fire beetle corpse.
    8865 - DESCEND!
    8931 - DESCEND! nothing like some diving to get us into trouble.
    Hear a grinding noise.
    OK, this level might need to evoke the river rule...

    Hokay! Glad I found some time to play this weekend... finished just in time to go out after writing this!

    2157 - Find my 3rd locked door for the level, gonna have to kick one!
    2168 - Door #1 is boring! What's behind door #2?
    2271 - Equally boring. Third time's the charm...
    2313 - Yay stairs and no traps! Descend to I6. And oops, our cave lion corpse rotted away.. so much for food pres.
    2314 - I sense imminent danger... out of depth monster gen, IIRC.
    2387 - Find and eat a large orc corpse just as I hit hungry. I don't like this corruption so much anymore.
    2427 - Find troll. Out of depth monster?
    2490 - Hit and run tactics not working so well because of rocks and regen, so I run away and descend to I7.
    2635 - Images of books and comfortable chairs line the walls! -1 St +1 Le
    2647 - Find and eat large ration just as I hit hungry.. Also pick up broadsword.
    2669 - Rune trap triggers when I try to open door. Destroy light boots [0, 0], our good cloak, a crude knife and a speckled potion. Down to 14hp
    2670 - Equip our [+1, +0] cloak. Waiting for some hp.
    2874 - Kick open door, find stairs. Waiting for more hp.
    2894 - Hungry
    2938 - A wandering goblin chieftain obligingly provides a corpse. Nom nom.
    2980 - Descend on 35 hp
    2987 - Scroll in stair room. Wait till 3000.
    3000 - Save.


    Summary:
    No prayers used.
    Lost good cloak, replaced with bad one.
    Lost a potion.
    Got more spare weapons
    Still no other nutritious food except the elven bread (I have a ghul corpse for training food pres)

    Okay, explored this side of the river. Ogre lord. Time to soak for a bit! No idea what the river rule talk is about. We have Swimming, for crissakes. Okay, so a couple of things got drowned and rusty, but that doesn't change the fact that rivers aren't really an obstacle at all. Oh, by the way, we are now flail users instead of axe users. I wouldn't switch back to our axe anyway, since I later fought an annis hag and it is now cursed and rusty. I took a note of the stuff that glowed dark during the battle:

    hand crossbow (Don't say I didn't warn you!)

    Righto. After the swim, I didn't encounter anything remarkable, I think. Still descended a couple of levels; it's now I:21. Should probably ditch our rusty and cursed things. Have fun!

    - wait until end of turn (did not attempt to open door); ate the stale bread (but not the lembas). Messages:

    i only decended a little. no sense in rushing to death, eh?
    i scummed cure serious wounds up a bit by kicking air to get
    wounded. i tried to train rocks and bows up, but just rather
    wasted ammo. found a drake threat room, but no corpse

    i took the 'very quick' talent and it came in handy when i
    found an ogre magi. turns turns out that we can dodge ice
    bolts extremely well and run like the wind.

    nothing special about this level. we have no food, unless you
    count that bit of candy. i was milking a goblin for rocks when
    i noticed i went 8 turns over. you will have to drop the
    non-stackers yourself.

    Explored the rest of the level, found Knock spellbook and 2 large rations, read out the spellbook.
    Dropped some rocks to get unburdened, equipped sling from hill giant I killed - it's cursed +1, +1.

    Descended to I13, killed some guys, got to lvl10, increased Find Weakness, Stealth and some others. Water trap drenched our power scrolls and CLW spellbook. Opened a door to rust monsters tension room, ran like hell to staircase - we can't affor to lose our armor.

    Found staircase on I14, but decided to explore although there is a vortex on the level or several, since messages are quite often. Killed hill orc, collected used ammo, and it's already 6000 turns. Cave lizard is coming from the right.
