2138- claw bugs, killed one, not going to tempt my luck
2142- wow, acid trap, down to 15HP. ring of fire and 1 of the heap of 4 arrows destroyed...
2179- back to room with down staircase, healing up a bit

8649 - Tarantulas hurt. Screw it, you can deal with this! Run back, close a door, and rest for 350 turns, applying First Aid against this poison and eating the last hill giant corpse. Poison wore off about 8920.

Spent a few hundred turns healing,
fought some random mobs descended with about 400 turns left
Got a level up, chose Athletics, Find Weakness, detect traps, stealth
Explored the level we're currently on, killed some more mobs
Currently standing on the downstairs, 2 traps are blindinglight and corruption
There is a darkness room at the end of the corridor
Haven't even tried either of the unopened doors
Inventory-wise, found a few rocks and an carrot potion and a whip
Food-wise I ate a couple slavemaster corpses on my turn

Aw feck... I hate giant elf-eating spiders I suppose I should record this for posterity/shame, but am at work at the moment. Well, here goes...
I see we're rather lacking on rocks. Fantastic. Not sure what the hell happened to our bow... I guess a door trap on my last turn must have shredded it.
I eat the two jackal corpses before they rot and rest up. I hear a lot of ripping sounds and end up hungry before reaching full health. I eat the bones... I test out our brittle wand towards the door - it's far slaying. Useless...
Okay, time to get digging! I equip our pick axe and head south into a dark room, but this leads to more spiders down there. Pick axe also broke. Damn it... But the dark room has its uses - I lure them backwards and begin the slaughter. I get poison resistance installed through a cave fisher corpse, and pick up a small crystal shield.
I decide to read through our scrolls hoping for satiation - melee damage and then familiar summoning (a shadow troll, which I name "Blocky"). With my new companion I decide to push forward, cause I'm very hungry. I soon get to starving and pray for satiation - the ground rumbles. Manage to plough through the spiders easily enough and get to the stairs. Descend on turn 9656.
On I20 I find the new stairs quickly enough, and a dwarven sausage. Also found a scroll of uncursing, which I use on our cursed sword. Ate an orc's corpse. Fled from a ratling warlord and descended to I21 on turn 9899. I sense a certain tension... First room I open is full of gnolls, so I start hacking away. Swords up to level 5, shields up to level 4. I reach 10001 and save.
Summary: Out of prayers, down 2 levels, +shields, +sword, sword&shield slightly improved, and we have a cool new companion. Should probably be a nice pile of gnoll corpses building up.
