Agreed. There is an issue with preserving the beauty of the moment. The first time you kill Andy should be a moment of complete ADOM purity, a moment of complete ADOM submersion.

Imagine the Beastie Boy. All through the game, smacking everything into the beyond with his Fists of Fury, laughing in the face of death. Few things compare to the sight of a Beastfighter closing down on the Archmage and smacking him in the face repeatedly until victorious. Awesome. Now picture the fight against Andy. You read your scrolls, drink your potions, and now you are pumped up. Head spinning as the stat boosters kick in, your fists seem to swell into bricks of doom. The walls are swirling and changing all around you, and the lord of cHaOs is advancing towards you surrounded by his dancing legions of purple jellies. Perhaps now a touch of caution, you pepper Andy with some arrows, but then you advance in a beserk rage, crapping rainbows and bleeding essense of Mike Tyson. Smash bang wallop, you thrust your fists against the posts and still insist you see the ghosts, coherence is no longer in your already heavily abridged beastfighting dictionary. As you wear down the lord of chaos, chugging potions as you see fit, toasting the dead adventurers who died before you to bring you to this place with every swig of booze, your final spaced out attacks bring Andy to the edge of finality. Do you reach into your back pack and awkwardly take out a strange pointy stick which you are so unfamiliar with that you need both hands to hold on to it, whilst simultaneously trying to shoot the beggar again with your trusty bow? I don't think so. Punch his lights out and be damned.

What could be more perfect than that?

"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."
