    Default Orcish Barbarian (first win)

Got this win at 25th of June but couldn't register until now.

Start the game, get SMC blanket, kill kranach, save carpenter, kill hotzenplotz, find dog corpse, then descend through UD. Got cornered by a stone giant lord in HMV, managed to kill him with a wand of cold when I'm down to 23hp. First dwarven quest is to kill a ratling warlord - took me a while to find one. Blessed ID scroll reveal that I have an AoLS!!! Got crowned with vanquisher and proceed to kill everything with it, although an ogre king almost got me with a crit. Save khelly. Cleared darkforge, nothing special, but I got a wish from a pool. Wished for potions of strenth (although girdle of giant strength might be better in hindsight). Killed snake with a scroll of darkness. ToEF gived very irritating map - fireproof blanket burnt away at the third level, so I had to go back to old barbarian's home to store some things (note to self: never bring anything remotely valueble into ToEF unless you have no other choice. Seriously, I've only been there 3 times and I already understand why everyone hate it.) Cursed PoInv and PoCC both burnt away before I got to fight ACW, so I had to go toe-to-toe with him. How bad can it be? ...Well, first bite, I got stiff muscle corruption. Read it again. I GOT THE STIFF MUSCLE CORRUPTION WHEN FIGHTING ACW. I'm sure I would be dead if I didn't pray like mad or got crowned with vanquisher. Anyway, I won the fight at last. The following game was somewhat uneventful: killed Srrasomething and chaos archmage without too much trouble. Surge of power at MT - harpy guarded scorched spear. Didn't bother to pick it up.

Got an RoDS when clearing a white dragon threat room, wished for wands of destruction. D:50 was super nasty. Balors hit harder than I thought. Had to burn all SoCR here. Blowed up both lever with wand of destruction and leave. Killed a total of seven balors on D:50 (including Fisty). Got another RoDS while clearing D:50, wanted to save it for later, but forgot about it in the end and left the chain with it sitting in my intentory

Nice job - and great note regarding ToEF and the after-game that follows it.

ToEF is imo a breaking point in the game, if you succeed in killing the dragon you're pretty much set for a win.

There's still the kitty king and Archmage to worry about, as well as the temptation to take on a greater undead vault, but yeah after ACW most chars are pretty on course for victory.

Thanks everyone. ToEF is definitely a milestone in an ADOM game, but the game afterwards is still anything but trivial - there are always the chance of me doing something exceptional retarded, such as taking on a mimic tension room without paralyzation resistance.

No greater undead vaults were generated during this game. Actually I don't think there are any greater vaults generated during this game. Oh, and I didn't kill cats for the entire game
