    Default ADOM scavenger hunt.

    The challenge:
I am hiding 30 'ice vortex figurine(s) of wondrous power' throughout the drakalor chain. It will be your quest
to find them all, and report in this thread as you do. I will set traps along the way, and grant rewards with
every figurine find. The PC (a human thief) will start with all needed things to take (most of) the scum out
of the game. It will be more of a 'search for the items' quest than a 'can I survive the early game' challenge.
Having said that, you will (hopefully) not be able to look in bugwil first at least. There will be no spells
granted, though with a high starting learning stat you can possibly read found books.

I am setting the following intrinsics: =fire, =lit, =acid, =cold, wbreth, tpctrl, -petr, -deth, see invis,
-stun, -conf, -para, -slep, +luck, and +fate.

I am setting the following items: helm of tp, elf mail, hooded cloak, eternium long sword, medium eternium
shield, some holy water, and 50 uncursed stomafillia.

    I am setting the following starting stats: St: 43 Le:40 Wi:34 Dx:32 To:30 Ch:40 Ap:13 Ma:53 Pe:14

I am setting the following artifacts: ring of the high kings, fire orb. They are both +0 though, so you
will still benefit from getting the genuine things.

    The rules:
For obvious reasons, it is mandatory that you use invis-text if you talk about WHERE you found a figurine.
Surround your text with these 'color' tags:
    Code:
(COLOR="#FFFFCC") INVISIBLE TEXT GOES HERE (/COLOR)

just replace all the parenthesis '(' and ')' with brackets '[' and ']'
I think it would be OK to talk about any challenges or traps you may face along the way, else it wouldn't
be as much fun. As for whether or not to use the figurines (they ARE bombs after all) it is perfectly OK,
    finding them is the task.

I will probably be able to post an svg in a couple of days or so from the time of this post, so if there are any
suggestions or requests, make them now.

    Here is the save:

How about 30 puzzles which hint on locations? Drakalor Chain is big after all.

I typed this one up already, not so much a hint as a warning against time wasting.

There is ONLY ONE in the minotaur maze, and it is not on a
false level. In fact, due to the horribly unfun nature of
the mino maze, I have left the false levels I encountered
completely mapped as a warning to not go that way.

As for more hints.... I dunno. Maybe wait and see if people are getting stuck?
I am carefully documenting where each are hidden, so don't worry, I won't forget

EDIT: I have 14 hidden already, and have just finished the rift. HINT HINT
    On to the CoC now.

The PC will start at level1? I would like a huge disclaimer "Mind the level cap of MM and Pyramid!". And I think someone will still screw this up (me, for instance).

The only complain i have is them not being acid vortices))

P.S. I hope "locations" due include stuff like dwarven children pockets?
So far rolled 15 casters with RoDS and shamelessly killed them within 200 turns. For eternium glory!
    (after 15 I stopped counting...)

Bloody, seeing as how this is a 'seek the item' quest instead of 'stay alive', I would
not see a problem with whatever has to be done to fix such a problem. One could
do an emergency save scum or a bit of adombotting or something for an easy fix.

Soi, of course I will put some in... creative places
I may give out a blessed acid vortex figurine of wondrous power as a reward (or
    maybe a cursed one...).

I have 20 placed now, and near dwarven halls. Maybe I will finish tonight.

EDIT: All 30 placed, but much clean-up to do before upping the save.

    The challenge starts now.

Find all 30 ice vortex figurine(s) of wondrous power.

Please remember to use invisi-text if chatting about figurine locations.

The PC's climbing skill is set to 100 by default.

There will be NO FIGURINE in healer or druid quest.

There will be NO FIGURINE in the inventory of the dwarven mystic.

EDIT: There will be NO FIGURINE in the infinite dungeon or SIL.

EDIT: Be very careful in the SMC and other areas, as I generated most of them with an xl 50 PC.

    Jharod had to be killed.

Be careful of going over experience limits for pyramid and minotaur maze, there are figurines in both.

Be careful of item destruction. It is possible for figurines to be destroyed.

If you goof your xp cap for pyramid or maze entry, it is OK to savescum or memory edit.

You can play the save as many times as you like. Do not scum savescumming though, you scummers.

I have not play tested this. If it crashes horribly or displays any other form of mal-behaviour or incompetence, I blame grey.

    If you just leave immediately...

39 companions were killed during his adventures.
He did not manage to vanquish any monsters.

Such is the cost of the game I suppose

Found two on UD1. A pixie archer had one and a wand of teleportation with 12 charges. No telling if it teleported to it and picked it up or if it had it all along. The other was behind the mysterious illusion wall.
Found a third in a vault on D4 with blessed 7LB. Sweet.
Dak, the Arena Master had another one (and 20 blessed scrolls of magic mapping).
Dwarftown - "Really attack kenny, the dwarven child?
You hit kenny, the dwarven child and slay him.
    Several items are lying here.
You pick up the blessed acid vortex figurine of wondrous power.
You pick up the blessed ice vortex figurine of wondrous power."
