Default YASD/YAGBU: stone oozes ignore PV

    Code:
You pick up the uncursed hulking armor.
You pick up the uncursed crumpled scroll.
You pick up the blessed emperor moloch corpse. The stone ooze punches through
    your armor and hits you.
You hit the stone ooze and severely wound it. Touching the stone ooze
paralyzes you! The stone ooze punches through your armor and hits you.

Just wasted a level 50 hurthling priest with 6 wishes in backpack to notice that stone oozes ignore PV. And being unlucky enough to wear moloch armor so I had 1 DV and very low dexterity. Also at the moment I wasn't even wearing preserver which I also had in my backpack (which gives paralyzation resistance).
Having 70 PV doesn't help too much against such a monster...

That, my sir, is what wasted you. Who cares if he gets in a few hits if you can move! But you couldn't.

Interesting though, I never noticed this while fighting stone oozes. Maybe because with amulets of free action or the like, they're wimps. Sorry for the death.

I don't I have ever fought a stone ooze in melee in my life. Memory is hazy; once, I might have, and learnt my lesson... But no, stone oozes for me are something to be very afraid of.
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!

Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.

I knew they paralyze when touched but I didn't think it's going to be a problem as I had 69 PV so it can't harm me badly anyway and I thought I was paralyzation resistant too but it turned out that I got it earlier from items only (preserver).
But I was wrong, I didn't know those bastards ignore pv completely. I can't even find this information from anywhere, It's not listed in guidebook, not in pipe's bot and can't even find that from google.

I tested this later by wishing a stone ooze in wilderness and used stethoscope to verify I got a level 1 stone ooze. Then I let it to attack me freely and altered DV/PV a bit too (DV from 1 to 50 and PV from 30 to 80). With higher DV it did miss quite a lot but still all hits went straight through armor.

That could explain why I didn't have any phase daggers...
