Depending on how you look at it, 25% or 20%. Regardless, it's never worth it in a normal game.

Depending on how you look at it? Also.. it depends on whether it's worth it or not.. I mean, is a Gray Elven Wizard/Priest/other spellcaster *really* gonna need over 2000 years?

Well, I think of it as 25% less, or 80% of your previous amount. We're talking Lifespan * 0.8 here.

They probably won't need the lifespan, BUT the difference in eating Quickling Royalty and just eating regular Quicklings and Lords is basically irrelevant, assuming you're eating several of them. You can easily cap out on either (or bugs for that matter), so the fact they give a little more speed when you eat their corpses is pretty well worthless.

25% less results in 75% of your previous amount, doesn't it? If your lifespan is 100 years, 25% is 25 years, which results in a lifespan of 75 years, which is not 80% of 100.
You hit Andor Drakon, the ElDeR cHaOs GoD, and severely wound him.
The greater balor summons some help!
The ratling duelist disarms you. You drop your blessed Trident of the Red Rooster (+36, 6d12+18) [+12, +12]. It flies to the west.

ADOM Science sneers at pesky math!
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!

Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.

While you read a book, that book weighs 0 stones. Or something like that. And yes, it's worthless, but still is something I didn't know until yesterday :P

Not so much; it's kind of awkward. Starting with 100 --- 50% more is *1.5, or 150. 50% less is /1.5, or 66.67 - NOT 50. The difference between going from 100 to 200 to 250 is the same as 100 to 50 to 40.

I remember seeing something on Soul Caliber 2(?) about how they screwed up the weapon stats in this fashion, treating 150 and 50 as if they were the same difference from 100, so some of the weapons were especially weak or overpowered =) (In other words, it's easy to screw up!)

    wait a second Twinge, 50% more is (1 + 50/100)x = 1.5x
    50% less is (1 - 50/100)x = .5x
The way you're doing it, 100% less would be half
