    I have an Idea!

I am going to keep making human fighters, named Slayer with a number after them until one wins! That way I can be Dedicated and win. Plus it kind of makes it like a Family that keeps fighting until they win!
I like your style, Lasher. That's similar to what I did with Human Weaponsmiths until I won. However, I recommend you roll randomly every once in a while. ADOM doesn't lose its flavor quickly, but there's no reason to speed up the process.

Also: That "silly online game" is actually pretty funny, Dudley. Cheers.

I will make new random characters in between my Slayers then!

Speaking of WHICH, SLAYER III is having a Rough go!

    QUickling Tension Room!

PLUS: 206 white worms killed. (They blocked the Stairs)

This Just In: He must slay a Slow Shadow. Any ideas where I should look for one?

Got some decent gear actually though, belt with +4 str, and a broadsword that is 1d7+4 I think. Also, after his chainmail get eaten by acid he now has leather armor with +4 PV!

Also, He killed Kranach and Saved Yriggs(sp?), the Carpenter. I will post his stats. I need to train at Garth's but not sure what to level up first. I am taking the Missile Talents and Have:

Alert. Good Shot. Quick. Quick Shot. Keen Shot.

Not sure where to go from here.

    Oh, his stats.
    Slayer III St:23 Le:14 Wi:16 Dx:14 To:13 Ch:13 Ap:13 Ma: 6 Pe:11 N+
    DV/PV: 33/11 H: 93(93) P: 16(16) Exp: 12/57722 D: 11 Sp: 109

And he has about 8000 gold to spend. Waldo has Bracers of To+4 for about 3500! Was debating buying those, buying To Training, or buying Dx Training. The 23 St is with his +4 St girdle.

    Oh,

Big room has lots of Herb, but not Identified yet.

EDIT: Oh! I should mention that I really like playing Fighter Types and don't think they are boring at all! It was fun trying to figure out how to kill all those darn worms! I mean I eventually just beat them all to death, but it was nice to try my unidentified wands lol.

But yeah, I will definitely try other combos out too.

Speaking of which, is there ANY reason to take human over Drakeling? Drakelings are like tougher stronger humans with acid spit right?

Being able to say : yo dawg, i'm gonna let you finish, but i won with a human.

drakeling have a relatively bad starting gear. Skillset are different, too.

Slow : shadow : wellllll, those ain't common. Big room or just by spelunking normally.
Haven't won with : Druid, Priest, Elementalist, Weaponsmith, Ranger, Merchants, farmers, Necromancer,Thief
Currently trying : Entertaining girlfriend. Very, Very, VERY hard.

    Just a silly online game

Pretty much, no. Drakes have basically same skillset, except better, have generally better stats, plus acid. They do have metabolism issues in the ToEF and one other area, but the extra speed from the ToEF is a big advantage IMHO. The other area is more of a pain. Drakelings do have fairly mediocre gear, for the most part, although drake paladins, fighters, and casters have comparable gear to humans I think.

Drakes have a shorter lifespan than humans, and humans have more learning so they're more likely to be literate or better early casters. That's about it.

Drake fighter is a pretty solid class, actually, IMHO. Not first rate, but definitely playable.

[edit]Oh, and for your game, I'd get the bracers, especially if you don't have easy access to morgia. Even if you do, bracers of To are still pretty nice.
Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

I saw one somewhere between I7 and I9 today, so you can try that if you're willing to backtrack. Otherwise, just do something else and see if you stumble upon that monster in your way. Chances are you eventually will.

    Hey guys!

Found a Slow Shadow in the Big room!

    Gotta cross the Forest now.

Just one problem: Entrance to Forest is Blocked by a Vault of Green and Grey Slimes.
Any chance I could make it through the DH?

I bought a Stone Spear in case it's my only option.

Also, I found Morgia! I am almost to 25 To! Got 25 Wi too. Then I'll put my Bracers of To+4 on.
Also, I found a Blessed Ring of Doom? I'm guessing it's bad for me and not my enemies?

Oh, also found some Gloves of Smiting! I'll post a link to my guy now. I understand it's kinda complicated.

    Thanks for the help!

I left out my Arrows and Tools, and Food! Nothing really special there. Except, low on food! There are no ratlings selling fried bats, and only one selling Lizards, and he only had 23. Also there is no ratling rebel! Very Strange.
I've found a bit of Somatofillia. I'll be using that unless I find more. I'm a bit worried about trying to cross the Animated Forest also because of Food Issues.

    Thanks everyone!

Ring of doom is very bad. It dooms you, is autocursing, and has big penalties to DV/PV. I'd just junk it right away.

If you have fire resistance in another form, I'd put on your ring of damage and bless it if you have extra holy water. It will help a lot especially because your weapon sucks. Put it on right finger for best effect.

Your gauntlets of smiting are probably the best I've ever seen. Usually they are 0 or -1 damage.

With your scroll of magic mapping + wand of digging, you can get the teleport wand, and you've got a ring of teleport control, so visit Darkforge. No reason to do the Forest yet. You can do the Pyramid and Griffyard first if you want. Blessed spear of the sun will do double damage on undead if you don't find anything better in DF.
Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

Raided Darkforge! Picked Up Lots Of Stuff, but no Blessed ID Scrolls yet!

    Also Killed Rehetep!

I had a "Wand of Fire" Which oddly enough killed him in one shot! What's up with that? I figured he'd Shrug it Off, but gave it a try anyways!

Anyways, trying to find some water potions and then find a way to carry all my junk to the altar in Dwarftown! It's laying in the Barbarian Grove for now!

OH! I found...Black Dragon Scale Mail! (-2,-4)[-2,+11] I'm using it for now, but is the Mummy Wrapping Better?

    Anyways, keeping on! Thanks!

Black dragon armor isn't bad. It makes you immune to acid, is nearly indestructible, and gives more PV than the mummy armor. I would consider wearing it, but hang onto the mummy armor as a backup in case you need to see invisible, protect against cold, or death resist. Later in the game, when there's more of a threat of death rays and a few more invisible monsters, it might be worth putting it back on unless you're fighting acid-type enemies. Remember that your class power gives you a PV bonus to worn armor, so it's good to stack it up as much as you can.

Here's a quick way to sort out likely useful stuff:
    1. Look for items with weird names or weights "Jet black battle axe" "Emerald dagger (13s)" for examples. These are almost certainly artifacts.
    2. Pick up weapons with low weight for their type. A 20s longsword (normally 40s) is probably eternium; a 28s one is adamantium. A5 0s two-handed sword (normally 100s) is eternium. Don't bother with anything over about 70s.
    3. Pick up 120s maces, 20s staves, 35s swords and bloody daggers. These are always good.

These are probably the best items in the lot. You probably shouldn't have more than about 500-700s of these sorts of items. This doesn't guarantee that there isn't something good in the rest of the pile, but these are the highest probability ones.
Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.
