You were pretty lucky. The scrolls are of chaos resistance and the best reward you can get from the mystic. The other one is one PoGA and two potions of training, not particularly excellent.

4.) I have an Amulet of Life Saving! It is too Late for the Dying Sage with the IMPOSSIBLE to Spell Name. He died earlier when I chatted to him.
You can still wear it yourself if you think you might need it. Just remember amulets of life saving are subject to item destruction, as most non-artifacts.

5.) I got corrupted! I am attuned to the astral planes. It makes me teleport randomly, but I can control where I go, just not when. I should probably have mentioned this first, since it happened before the other things. Too late now! Oops! :/
That's a pretty good corruption for a non-caster. Free teleports every now and then. I hate teleportitis because it's very likely to get in your way when reading books, but that's no problem here.

I have found a few small patches of good herbs, mostly Somafillia, which is in the big room and I can harvest safely cause I'm invisible, which is still the best thing ever (!), but is VERY tiring cause I can't press W then 5 to make it reappear. I also Found Moriga Root and Moss of Marelion(sp?) in the first level of the High King's place. (Is that a temple, or a hole in the ground, or what?) But, I do not want to stay there because I will get corrupted! Suggestions? I don't know how much I need Dexterity or Willpower, and my Toughness is over 25 already!
Have you gone to the DDL or UD now? Herbs have a chance of being generated there. Many special features are more likely to be generated in the UD, actually.

Since you gained the "very light" corruption since writing the paragraph I'm quoting, your Dx is probably at 25 now and not trainable via herbs, barring certain tactics. I'd focus on your Willpower and Toughness. Wi is good to resist the confusion attacks from the ACW, and To to get more HP, which is even more desirable. As grobblewobble said, if you remove the corruption after maxing your attributes via herbs, they'll be even higher than before.

P.S. Why did my wand of Fireballs not tell me it was hurting the High King, but it really was? I had to Look at him and see he was more injured after each few blasts. Very Strange! It did not say anything.
You're blasting him with a mighty fireball - it is assumed that you're hurting him You'll only see special messages when monsters are either exceptionally hurt by the fire, or immune to it.

P.P.S. A Friendly Ratling Duelist challenged me to a duel! But then he died. Still, he was very nice about it! I felt bad about killing him!
I hate them because they punch through armor.

Some people enjoy feeding oozes with pick axes.

There could be something I'm not seeing, but I don't know why there's so little love for rings of elemental mastery. They're wishable, and use one of two slots where you're unlikely to have anything better than three immunities. They can be destroyed, but wearing the elemental gauntlets takes care of that.

Congratulations, the BoW are a truly excellent artifact.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'm thinking blessing the fireproof blankets might also be a good idea.

I will try to get crowned, but without much (that darn herb which gives you a full belly and what I can't spell right now) it's a trial.
Beastfighters' damage is tied to level, so if you are underpowered, you might find yourself taking more time to do damage. Could also be just that you're used to playing with a shield, so you're used to having about twice as much DV as you do now. Unfortunately, your high speed is reducing your xp gains, which is why you're a few levels lower than you might expect to be.

Bracers of war are a fantastic artifact. You probably got acid immunity because you were wearing the ring of elemental mastery. If you have immunities already, then the game will not pick those ones for your crowning. So wearing the mummy wrapping, for example, prevents you from getting cold immunity on crowning (usually this is a good thing since cold immunity is kinda lame). On the plus side, with acid immunity and your ring, you are now immune to all four elements.

How well you are able to handle the Tower has less to do with your level and more to do with your resources. Do you have potions of confusion or wonder to throw? Cursed potions of invisibility, raw mana, or blindness? Wand of paralysis? Couple scrolls of familiar summoning? These are the sorts of things that can make the Tower easier. If you haven't recovered your To with morgia yet, it's still a bit risky. It's a good idea to have 200-250 HPs for taking on the Tower, since the Wyrm can blast you for ~150 damage with spells. That said, level 16 is pretty low for a non-troll to be attempting it.

Well, they're pretty high DL. Getting one before the Casino is pretty rare, and by that point, your need for immunities is pretty low, and you likely have a couple of them already.

Well! I will be doing those things you guys said!

BUT: I trained in Waldo's Store. I was getting my Strength up, and APPARENTLY if the game asks you to teleport, "z to abort" doesn't mean NOT TELEPORT, it means Teleport randomly! So I robbed the store, Waldo is chasing me, and my alignment is N-.

Sometimes this game makes me sad.

Seriously, I just looked up Abort, and I'm pretty sure it means don't do that, instead of do that, but randomly.

Anyways, tips? I went down a level. The Burly Dwarves can't see me, but Waldo can. Also, I think he is as fast as I am, and I'm around 166. It's crazy. If it weren't for the teleports helping me out I think he'd catch me.

EDIT: I just beat him to death

If you can kill a shopkeeper in melee, I think you're ready for the Tower.

    Good to know!

ALSO: Some updates, but I didn't accomplish much!

I've made it down to a Fire Covered Staircase? I assume this is related to the Tower of Fire?
I THINK I figured out the Banshee. I found some Bees Wax, and I ended up figuring out if I Use it I am Deaf. I then Cleaned out my ears to become undeaf(?) but had more wax so I used more to be deaf again.
Also, I tried just about everything with my wedding ring. Here is what I did:
I Equipped it. I took off my gloves, so she could see it. Then I walked up to the Banshee. She did not attack. Whether that was because of my ring or because I was invisible I don't know. She started fighting after I attacked her but I killed her cause I was deaf.

I have been fighting All Sorts of Monsters! Scariest thing so far was a Doppleganger(sp?) King! I checked it's stats and I think it was an exact copy of me! But do I really hit for 79 points of damage? The PV and Speed of the King seemed to be really close to my own.

I have not yet gone to the Dark Forge. I'm gonna boost my Toughness, then clear my corruption then hopefully be okay.

Yes sir. This is officially as far as you go inside the caverns of Chaos until you finish the tower.

That's exactly how you do it

The procedure is slightly different. The ring must be visible, but not worn by you.

Excepting the damage and the fact they always punch through armor, they're exact copies of you. Potentially very dangerous, but easily killed under darkness.

Oh, been there. Forget that at your peril. It's pretty sick that you could kill him, though.

Doppelganger kings mimic your PV/DV, speed, and to-hit bonus, with the added benefit that all of their attacks punch through your armor and they attack multiple times a turn. Really, it's just excessive.

About the Banshee level, it's usually worth it to check all of those corpses on the ground for stat-boosting or intrinsic-giving monsters. You might find hill orcs or hydras for toughness, giants for strength, etc.
edit: and those corpses will never rot until you take them off the Banshee level (at which point they disappear), so you can take your time finding and eating them.

Thanks! Do I Equip the Ring in my Tool Slot? I couldn't figure out how to do that. I wanted to, that way I could Use it when I saw her, but I tried Using it earlier with a capital U and I never "proposed" to anything.

    Is there a Propose command?

Anyways, I'm gonna show you guys my stuff now, so I know what to bring to the Tower of Flames.

I left out my food. Is that important? I got the Phial of Whatever, which I believe Anon123 said I could use on the Tower Guardian last time I got there. I have Thick Gloves on, cause I *Just* got rid of my poison hands which I just got and got rid of my Anorexia at the same time.

    Thanks Everyone!

Your gear looks pretty good to me. You won't be able to wear your cloak and crown in the tower, and you'll want to put on the elemental gauntlets so your other ones don't burn. If you have some unholy water, you might want to curse your potions of invisibility to throw at the Wyrm. If not, your wands of stunning will probably work, but it make take a few tries. Don't forget to use the Water Orb if you get low on HP in the Tower (prayers are a little more risky because your god might be dumb and give you a pickaxe instead of healing). With the elemental gauntlets on, you won't get too corrupted.

I think to propose to the Banshee, you need to hold the ring in your hand. I think she is still hostile, though, but she won't kill you instantly.

The rune-covered trident is a pretty good thrown weapon, by the way. It slays daemons and undead, and returns like a boomerang.
Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

    Is there a Propose command?
No, there's no command You need to wield it as if it was a weapon. As long as you stay within her LOS, she'll never scream you to death.

Artifact-caused food consumption is severely decreased when you're crowned, so this is less of a concern now. If you have a few blessed stomafillias, that should be enough.

Apparently, I forgot the fact it only works on humanoids! You have a wand of stunning, but it can take many attempts to get it to work on the ACW. If you can find a way to curse those potions of invisibility for throwing, it'd be great.

Thick gauntlets can burn away (it will probably happen to your crown and cloak). I'd suggest that for entering the tower, you put on your elemental gauntlets to protect the rings. If you happen to catch poison hands, you can switch.
    "And light there be!"
