heap of 2 uncursed fireproof blankets
Bless at least one of these before walking in. Uncursed blankets have much less durability. If you can, you should also bless your higher-order healing potions. When you're fighting the boss, it's really important that any healing you do brings you back to full health, so that it doesn't just reduce your health back on the same turn.

I also agree with everything JellySlayer said.

    I did it!

    Seriously, it wasn't so bad!

It only took 2 tries to Stun that W and then I just beat him to death really fast! Honestly, I ran into a Fire Giant King on the way out and he was tougher than that W!

Anyways, I ate the King's Corpse, and it said my Muscles Grow Enormously but my St didn't change! Can it only go up to 26?

Also, I think it's cause my speed was something crazy, like between 260 and 350, but for some reason my HP would heal as fast as it damaged and after fights it would go up a few points every step I took. Any ideas what's up?

So! I leveled up to level 19! I guess the next step is to keep going down? Past the Fire Covered Staircase? And then I assume the last 2 orbs are Earth and Air?

I'm guessing I need some wands of digging, and maybe some way to fly or jump? I guess teleportation might help? I *think* the Dying Sage said all the orbs except the fire one were below him, so I don't have to go looking for an air temple in the highest mountains right? Though that would be pretty cool.

Anyways, Kroak is my most successful character so far! Admittedly, I *think* it is probably because he is permanently invisible and started on Creator's Day lol.

Still, I'll take what I can get! The farther I get with this guy the better prepared I will be for the next guys.

EDIT: Sorry I just saw that post.

No worries I didn't need to Heal cause of my Crazy Regen!

Oh, right, you're a drakeling. Yeah, drake in ToEF is good fun because of massive speed. I think the healing was due in large part to bracers of war. They heal 1 HP every turn.

Air and Earth are below the Wall of Flames (approx D:37 and D:43). Fire Orb gives +10 St, by the way, which is really epic for you. There's a few other obstacles in your way first though. Don't worry too much about items before you dive down. You'll have the opportunity for a massive restock of your gear in short order. Keep an eye out for a staircase going up on D:32 or so. It will send you back to Darkforge and create a permanent link to the surface. There's also a Mana Orb in a special side-branch.
Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

    That was bracers of war.

And this is why drakelings are so damn awesome. They have a much easier time with the tower than anyone else, especially when you have regeneration.

Yes, now you need to make the deep dive. Say goodbye to the surface, you're in for the showdown.
You steal a scroll labelled HITME. The orc hits you.

There's a bug in the game that prints such messages, while your Strength doesn't actually increase.

The bracers of war grant regeneration. One of the reasons they're so great. They use an armor slot for which there's sadly not much variety, and give good protection plus a bunch of great intrinsics.

There's a fifth orb guarded by a pretty nasty spellcaster. That's pretty much near the endgame, though. Like the ToEF (although not to that degree), the earth and air temples have quirks of their own. Don't want to spoil it for you so I'll wait until you get there

I'm guessing I need some wands of digging, and maybe some way to fly or jump? I guess teleportation might help?
A means of digging through stone is enough. Hang on to that blessed wand of digging, and recharge as necessary.

And luckily, you'll find that the slot machines tend to pay out way more than you put in on average.

Fortunately, Mr. Grey, I can see invisible!

    And, I'm rich!

BUT: If this Guard Does Not Move, I only see this ending in their blood, their sweat, and their tears.

    Followed by Cannibalism.

    >_>

    <_<

EDIT: SORRY for Assuming! (Mrs./Miss/Ms. Grey???)
