Tried getting Darkness a couple of times, but decided it's not the intended way. I must say this puzzle is pretty awesome, although I wasn't sure of correct mechanics of this explosion before I tried. It was according to my expectations in the end.

    1. drink invis
    2. dip tome in booze
    3. equip elemental mastery ring for =Fire
    4. dip SoCR in PoRC
    5. ???
    6. BOOM!
I like my women like my ADOM loot - hunted as treasure and in extra quantity.

Very nice idea Jellyslayer, I like the different approach to adom in all those challenges.

The one with moloch was too much for me, didn't make it to the exit, but the rest was fun.
I had no idea how to deal with those acid vortices either, of course drink invis was obvious and the tome suggested some dipping, but until I read Ln's post, I had no idea SoCR dipped in PoRC causes explosion. Though it does make sense since the two represent "opposite forces" in the game.

Wizard with a wish: wished for spellbook of frost bolt, made a bridge but then discovered banshee was too close and decided to run back to the big room on the right.
There, I managed to outmaneuver her with those potions of speed and reach the exit without getting into her wail's death zone. I've played so many games with banshee in the animated forest, that I pretty much anticipated which way she was going to move so that made things a bit easier. Of course initially I wished for bee wax and hoped that 200+ HP was enough to cross one lake square at high speed... it wasn't.
As for alchemy - it's useless unless I don't know some bit of crucial information. Can't make P of deafness because I need booze, can't make booze cause I need carrot juice that is nowhere to be found and no means to make it.

The one with lightning vortices was fairly easy - my lvl 39 and their slowness were giveaways, I berserked one, got lightning immunity and let the rest of them explode.

I died so many times with the farmer and gorgons but eventually success: one of the first fireballs took away gauntlets and boots, and soon after the amulet too.
Combined with rations made of gorgon corpses, starvation problems were solved and the rest was pure tactical ice melting challenge.

    As for the #6:

I didn't die as much as I simply got stuck with no means to move.
Eventually uselessness gift turned out to be dwarven pick axe and the rest was obvious, I finished under 95 turns.

Then I figured that this is not the way it was meant to be played, the artifact had to serve another function.
Artifact should (with some lucky random generation) provide protection against bolts and equipment destruction, since the key (I think) is to pray until deity is sufficiently pissed off to summon daemons and thus the opportunity appears to reach level 50. After that, with all spells available there are plenty of options left. Mystic shovel comes to mind. Item creation spell to make items to throw and move.
The margoyle corpse left some rocks that were eventually useful.

You stab the quickling emperor and slay him. Time suddenly slows down again, you can move freely once more!
    An item is lying here.
You pick up nasty brutal hateful eternium three-handed sword of penetrating mayhem-devastation (+38, 10d14+38).

Well, you do have a wish...

You can finish the ice level without having to get lucky on the artifact. When I mentioned earlier that it was possible not to win, I just meant that a few of the methods you have to generate items make random items, and sometimes you'll end up with all scrolls and gold that aren't good to throw and might not have quite enough movement to get all the way around.
Any time a player finds Executor and fails to use it, the RNG kills a cute dog.

Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Monk, and ULE Priest down.

my first try today and I beat trial 5, after having a difficult time of it yesterday.
I think figuring out the method of getting a number to trail me, then fire blasting
them just the right way was the difference this time.

i got this on my first try at trial 6:
Trial6, the dark elven wizard, was killed by a balor
She scored 320299 points and advanced to level 50.

Trial 6 was a tricky thing, and i highly suspect I did everything exactly
wrong. Suddenly though, I realized a super-cheesy victory way. I can
vouch that there is no way that a player can NOT beat this level every
time, regardless of what they do with inventory.

Only regret was not figuring it out sooner, so I could have gotten my
    D:50 bonus points
I use polemarms when laying adom.

    Did you use prayers?

I'm starting to think that my "real" method for this one is pretty obscure.

i got some greater deamons, killed them for xp and got spell knowledge in all.
I can't remember if summon monsters was on my spell list, but if it was, I could have
probably gotten it that way. You left a lot of spell knowledge. Also, I think you may have left
some hints in the 'items identified' list '\'. Maybe that was the other challenge...
Anyway, amnesia scrolls could be used at the end, but that may have interfered with the writing
    set on this one.

I guess I found the 'official' way for the second trial.

Wished for potions of booze. Used holy water to create demon daisy. Mixed booze + daisy into potions of deafness. Charged wand of cold with other booze. Safely ran across.
Only thing is you need to find out what row the daisies grow on.
Treasure Hunter is an absolutely immoral talent and people who take it are slaves of their lust for loot. A real character doesn't rely on worldly goodies to save the world but will do so by trusting his inner strength.

I'm not good with puzzles, but Trial7 looked pretty easy, so I gave it a try.

First, you should unequip the amulet of chaos immediately, or else its effect will kick in and the platinum girdle will squeeze you to death. Then, drop the huge rocks to be able to move. Now, create a corruption trap (second tile from the left in the top row of the shop) and trigger it until you're attuned to the astral planes. Wait for a random teleport and you're done. That is not a chaotic act (unless you're carrying unpaid items, of course) so you'll be okay.

    Trial 8:

Drink your first potion of invisibility immediately. Take off all your eternium gear and sacrifice it, then 'O'ffer the potions of ultra healing to get to very close status. Drop your potions of water in the altar, then pick them up. Bless your remaining potion of invis, and the scrolls of treasure creation. Drink the potion, then whip yourself until you're NC and sacrifice the gold you got from the scrolls, to convert the altar. Equip the whip in a melee slot and true berserk one of the ogre lords (it took me two hits) to clear a path. You can sacrifice some ogres so that they don't clutter the room. Then just try to reach the staircase. I made it in ~80 turns total.

Wow, trial 9 apparently discovered a bug or I'm doing something very very wrong:
If you try to pick up anything in the cave and mommy dragon has nowhere to teleport right near you, you can't pick up at all. There is a usual prompt "Do you really wanna pickup?", you press 'y', but you don't get to pick up. Turn is still spent and you get hurt by drowning damage.

Can't seem to think of anything aside from 'Dubiduing' dragon turtle and running like mad. Tried about 10 times and no luck but finally got out. I somewhat doubt it's the intended method, as I spent all healing and all prayers and just barely made it.

And come on, dragon turtles open doors? just how do the even know what the door is?
