    Default Any help/hints for Seraph?

    Ohai.
    So, since i have a bit of time on my hands, I decided to try to go for a necromantic archmage.

    Seraph was born in a dark, heavily undead-infested swamp. His parents died soon after his 10th birthday (quite young for a grey elf) in a zombie attack. He was about to be the next, but the corpses of his two parents defended him, reborn as ghuls. He soon obliterated the marshlands under his necromantic reign.

    After a while, he decided it was time to go out, see the world. His travel led him to the rumoured Drakalor Chain, where the chaos that called him was strongest. He went to the village of Terinyo, where he got a couple of quest as well as tons of food for his trip. He also used the safety of the village to learn the frost bolt spell. He then headed north west, entered a small cave. The monsters looked incredibly dangerous and he quickly backed out.

    He then went to the infinite dungeon. He spent days upon days, climbing and descending staircases, grabbing spellbooks, and getting more and more in touch with the chaos in himself as he created more and more ghuls which he left promptly. When he went out, he was much more experienced, strong, knowledgeable. He headed west, found a small village. There, he obliterated the leader, to test his new powers. He then exited and went to Terinyo again. The sherrif gave him a strange amulet as a reward for beating the other guy up. It hurt his neck a lot when he put it, so he kept it in his backpack. Headed north east, and went down, down down. Suddenly, he felt the call of balance. "You do not have to be evil, you can prove that necromancy is art and not corrupt!", the voice said. He redempted himself with the blood of hundreds of monsters. He was thanked, twice, for his devotion : the first time with a crown to command his wildest creations, the second time with a bow to slaughter them should they dare to rebel against him. He then proceded to find the (sadly, dead and not necroable) cute puppy, as well as a strange spellbook, which, on identification, he found out to be a spellbook of wish, the most powerful spell ever created. He decided to stash it for a whiel.
    He then proceeded to save a carpenter, complete some dwarven quests, get some weapons, find a rune covered sling, anhilate a mummy king and various other thingies.

    Currently trying : Entertaining girlfriend. Very, Very, VERY hard.

    I believe you die and come back to life without the spell being actually cast, which makes it a futile attempt.

    I heard of immortal necromancer who died casting wish. So it doesn't.

    *bumps own head for not casting slow monster on self before destroying eternium golem*
    Water orb, Fire orb, and some other useless artifacts : get (seriously. I now have sun's messenger (yay vs undead), crown of leadership, scorched spear (yay polearm!), Skullcrusher (this actually allowed me to win vs all that golem vault. Save eternium. Too much pv, yay for acid ball), and whirlwind)

    I thought eternium golems were immune to acid. They spit acid, don't they?

    Spit acid, immmune to shock, but not acid. Possibly other resistances, once i found what worked i used it. Not gonna experiment when a hit is a 4th of my hp
    Ancient red dragon right after casino, whose most remarkable item was... water! Garth & god are gonna be paid tons. I have enough money to burden me, WITH SoA cast. And that weird guy who teaches climbing. Gonna need to go out of those darn +1 mods. Or not. Forgot i have to prove myself. Also, got athletics from education

    eternium golems just give sucky xp, so slow monster wouldn't have helped much

    I think the only monsters worth using slow monster for are probably greater molochs, greater titans, balors, shopkeepers, and wyrms of any kind. And Emperor liches if you're feeling brave.

    I've heard applying head with force towards wall several times enhances brain activity, I suggest you could try that at your own risk.

    On non sarcastic notes:
    Necros do get resurrected after being exhausted by spells and by wish in particular. I've tried on 20 hp and 20pp so amount of exhaust likely does not matter.
    In theory if you get enough +To gear you simply can chain cast Wish, but... I am not entirely sure what happens if stat drain fall on to To, i do guess drain is applied before resurrection so you need to be able stabilize at 20+ To.
    Halving toughness with +To gear on however is a bit tricky, don't have notes on me but from brute calculation +13 should do. Or maybe not.
    +to gear I do remember:
    head - none
    amulets - none
    body robes of resistance +5/ any armour of resilience up to +6
    girdles none
    cloaks none
    shields - protector +2/raw steel+8
    rings - 2 of gain atrribute on toughness.
    bracers - bracers of to +4
    gloves - none
    boots none

    Weapons - knife of endurance +4
    rolf's AXE +3
    hammerhead+3
    staff of wanderer +6 does not work with shield
    black thumb - not obtainable
    anything of might +2

    let say reasonable setup:
    armor of resilience +6
    knife of endurance +4
    raw steel shield +8
    bracers of toughness +4
    on 22 +to from gear i do understand you should be able to cast wish for good.

    Main problem in target achievement would be actually getting hands on wish book in first place. Good luck on that.
    So far rolled 15 casters with RoDS and shamelessly killed them within 200 turns. For eternium glory!
    (after 15 I stopped counting...)
